  • superb upload Dear.

  • What a melodious voice!!!! I love all her songs.I wonder if anyone has the famous ghazal of Mujjadid Niazi sung by her IK BAAR PHIR KAHO ZARA KE MERI SAARI KAINAAT TERI IK NIGAH PAR NISAR HAI. I am Kalim Chishtie from Karachi.

  • She did sing a variety of songs...Most of her songs were memorable hits.

  • shamshad begum was KOAIL coco of punjab thanks very much IMIRZA777 for this collection

  • Yeh "cheerti hui awaaz" ab bahut kam sunaayi deti hai, Badkismati hai hamari. Shamshadji ki bahut hi "honest" awaaz thi. Choti se choti harkat clarity se sunaayi deti hai. She sang with utmost sincerity and even tho' her range of songs was limited,(She did sing a variety of songs, but was typecast ultimately). However, listening to her music was always a delightful experience. Mirzaaji aapka bahut bahut shukriya. Aap ki badaulat yeh 8 minute bahut acche kate hamare :)

  • Nawazish !

  • no offence but the information u have given is contradictory, one place it says" not so beautiful face" in the other place it says stunningly beautiful woman in her youth. which one is true???

  • thanks for posting this up.

  • All these are classic Shamshad Beghum songs. And I love your picture montage too. My most favorite SB song is Kahe Koyal Shor Machaaye Re. Like her other great oldies, it has a soaring, heavenward voice, yet with its melancholy sweetness ,it is also quite moving at the same time. Thanks, Mirzaji.
