  • so Beautiful. With Memories.

  • wunderbar..kaunista...kiitos...

  • It's Finnish as in Finland. Check the country West From Russia, East From the "gay" Sweden and BAM! Finland for ya. Oh Yeah!

  • suss version sehr hübsche aus Finland -Suomi.Danke, Gracias

  • Wasn't Finland in a war backthen?

  • During World War II, Finland fought two wars against the Soviet Union: the Winter War of 1939-1940, and the Continuation War of 1941-1944 - immediately followed by the Lapland War of 1944-1945, when Finland fought the Germans to force them to withdraw from northern Finland.

  • @Sirri2 Thank you for correct information!

  • it's interesting that this song was popular in many different countries, even the ones that were fighting against Germany in World War II - including Britain and the USA.

  • Glad to find another Harmony Sisters video here; thank you. Always great!

  • Fantstic thankyou so much. have a lot of recording with them, nice to se them in a filmclip

  • Are you sure that was in 1942? As far as I know, the Germans played it only from 1943, and theirs was the original version.

  • According The Finnish National Audiovisual Archive's database this was filmed in 1942. First recording of Lili Marlene was made in 1939 (in Germany) but it was not a hit until 1941 or 1942.

Harmony Sisters recorded the Finnish version in 1942.

  • Great Harmony, Did they record any songs in a studio?

  • They recorded over 150 songs. (Database of Finnish Institute of Recorded Sound)

  • Thank you for adding this video. I really appreciate it! Raija was my grandmother.

  • Unhoita milloikan !!! :-)

  • Their young voices were tuned so finely to each other. Thanks a lot to Sirri2 for posting this example.
