This is the best version of this loveley reel that I have ever heard. And that includes Kevin Crafords version. It has been on my what to do list for years to learn but after hearing your version, it is time! Thanks for the inspiration!!
You are a real star!.Many thanks for your tips.I take it by backside of the headjoint you mean the end of the head joint i.e the crown I'm going to try out in practice tomorrow.I downloaded your album from Itunes and what I have heard so far sounds terrific especially the "price of my pig" I think you play with real soul .I hope to see in the uk soon.
Hey Pollack, I do use a Nicholson. Funny though that flute was a loaner from John Kerr. His flute is a Pratton. I have a Nicholson boxwood that I adore.
Keep coming back to this one. Still the best version I have ever heard!

Great playing, it is nice to see another person use piper's grip. I love the style, how long have you been playing?

Great playing, Josh. Sounds a bit like Seamus Egan with the fluttery bits and a smooth, somewhat jazzy feel. You use a Nicholson Olwell like Seamus?
Got this video in my favorites with McGoldrick and Crawford. Thanks!

Hey Vikke ,
It's a Olwell. They make the best flutes as far as I am concerned.
