Soul Calibur = Strategy Button Masher.

Tekken = Button Mashing. Period.

Combat is better made in SC4 than in Tekken. Believe me, I've played both. I've spent days in the arcades trying to beat tekken. SC 4, I've beaten it over and over and over and over and over and over and over. It's easy. Fact of the matter, SC is better made than tekken, the controls are more responsive. But, nothing can replace personal classics like tekken. Tekken is really an arcade game, and SC is a console game. It's like comparing Legend of Zelda to Skyrim.

@thebreakingpointshow SC is sort of lighter isn't it? You can really tell with the slo-mo camera at the end of a fight. SC sort of cuts it short which I find a little disappointing when you beat the crap out of your opponent. Depends on the character though I guess. I play as maxi, so there is a major difference in speed from Tekken to SC. Heh but then again, I can't juggle as much in SC as I can in Tekken. So in that aspect Tekken beats SC imo.

"Gaykken", tekken is way better than soul calibur. thats why it's having a cross over with one of the best fighting games ever which is Street fighter. plus the fighting styles are more realistic and the characters are more believable. The Yoshimitsu in tekken 6 is even better than the one in Soul calibur. My brother even saysTekken is better and he hates it.

@Tekken57330 It really depends on how you like to play. If you want to button mash someone to death, go ahead with Tekken and Street Fighter. If you want the exact opposite go with the more slow paced Soul Calibur. If you just want pure violence go with Mortal Kombat. Although I agree with Yoshimitsu, Tekken 6 Yoshi is more badass to me, the only thing I wish Tekken 6 Yoshi do is fly 50 up into the air and heal himself during suicide attacks like Soul Calibur 4 Yoshi.

I respect you're opinion but in mine tekken 6 is better because chalenge us more than soul calibur 4 and it got the campaing mode.

for who don't know, campaing mode is like the adventure style we control our characters in the city, train... you can upgrade you're characters for a better fight (for you of course) grafics awesome(like he said) and then... well, that's what I think about this game but I enjoy so much soul calibur 4 too

soul calibur has lame broken deptless gameplay hvere the characters just juggle randomly in any direction.... tekken has depth all the way trough and it is much more balaced than soul calibur where you really need to think about what move you have to performe and when

this is how it has always been (exept with tekken 4 that game sucked)

so yeah any tekken game is better than any soul calibur game and tekken 3 still is the best 3d fighter ever made

tekken 6 is better and deeper than soul calibur, soul calibur is compsed of the block, vertical/horizantal and kick for the 4 keys on the controller, while in tekken each limb is assigned a button which gives more depth, flexiblity, and makes it easy for amatures easy to pick up and use, while pros go on memorizing really long combos. I own both and played both and aint half bad on both however i still think Tekken is a better game. The only complaint i hve bout tekken is its story lawl!

who cares if soul calibur 4 is epic, tekken 6 is BADASS!!! And also, the story is AWESOME!!!! in tekken 6. But you REALLY GOTTA UNDERSTAND THE STORY AND HAVE HAD TO REALLY UNDERSTAND THE ENDINGS IN EACH GAME to get what the story REALLY is. Once you have that understanding, you'll see the awesomeness in the story. Except for the scenario campaign with lars beating azazel being lame but otherwise, it was good.

Personally I enjoy playing Soul Calibur IV more but Tekken 6 has more of a "Pick up anytime and beat em' up game" It feels more like its genre if you get me...
