Yes !! It was like that !! First of all, if you date a girl, in the back of your mind your thinking she may be a candidate for a Mrs. After going to that church with her, I said no!! Why would I want to possibly bring up kids in that environment. It really does have an influince on a persons thoughts. Religion (beliefs) or not to believe is a very important thing to a couple. No denying that. I could however have a pentacostal person as only a friend though.

I understand now... well, I guess it depends on your personal background. Many churches are becoming more and more loud, boisterous and demonstrative in their worship. Some people can see that as strange or even "wacky", but when I first walked into a Pentecostal Church - I saw and felt the joy and freedom these people had in their "unfiltered" expression toward God. It was both refreshing and entertaining... so at the age of 15 (in 1983), I became a Pentecostal.

I guess it just depends on "wacky" - if your opinion is that we have "wacky" beliefs, then I guess you have a right to your opinion. But if you're saying MOST Pentecostals can't have normal healthy relationships with non-Pentecostals, can't work, live, love, laugh, enjoy life like normal people - then I'm afraid - my opinion is that you're wrong...

I would also like to express my sadness that your experience with Pentecost was negative... I cannot speak for all churches, but I can speak for ours... you would be welcomed and loved.
