What I was referring to was the *original* Sweeney Todd from The String of Pearls: A Romance. It was published as a penny dreadful in 1846 by Edward Lloyd and without it we would not have many of our classic villains. Over the years many spin offs of SoP were created. In these early adaptations of the tale Todd is given no reason for his actions besides greed. Indeed Todd was not given a reason until 1973 when Christopher Bond gave him the identity of Benjamin Barker.
Secondly let me apologize if I offended anyone. I do not believe that killers and assassins are heartless maniacs with no purpose. (Please note: I have an ancestor who was killed publicly in Buffalo and mental illness runs rampant throughout my family)
Let me say that this was all a misunderstanding. I can only vaguely remember what I wrote there, but allow me to explain myself. As I said this was a misunderstanding, I have several mental disorders (most caused by brain damage) so what I said probably made sense in my head while my meaning may have been unclear.
When i was first watching this in Theaters...it reminded me of Edward Scissorhands. I love that movie. Johnny Depp was amazing.. and this voice [in some parts] took me back to the Pirates MOvies!
Uh Johnny Depp que bueno que esta,me encanta(fue un comentario adicional,no es que me guste por eso).Me encanta la dupla que hace con Tim Burton,y esta pelicula debe estar re buena,ya quiero verla!
true..i've been on that path before and it was pritty scary.....i've almost killed a guy that i hated to death...but i didn't...oh well i can dream it *puts on an evil look on face*...lol jk
of course hes sensetive!! hes been locked away for 15years on a false charge, he finally comes back hoping for his wife and child to be waiting for him and finds out that his wife is 'dead' and his daughter is under the care of the man who made all this happen to him!!!
it seems that YOU are the one that has no idea about the actual story!

actually Noldo,
Psychologically, people who kill out of passion (ie: not hit men) are found to be quite sensitive which is what leads to the madness.
