ok i have a problem a little messy person intalled the new 4.3.2 version from itunes thnking it was ok. So rom readng your blog my baseband has been updated too i realize that/c i lost my unlock feature cause i had 3.1.3 unlocked but now i lost it and i need my cell phone urgent is there a way to regainmy baseband b/c i did the jailbreak but ultrasnow is not compatible with my firmware version its 5.16.02 can you please help me out on this i would be greatly appreciaed

@highkl You need to install the 06.15.00 Baseband in order to unlock. However, there are things you need to know about the 06.15.00 Baseband.

- You basically can't get any support at any Apple Store with your iPhone.

- You can't restore to Stock Firmware

- You lose your GPS

If the risks are worth it, then go for it. You can't downgrade your Baseband.

hey man i keep coming up with a mass message 'did not find repository. the indicated repository could not be found. this could be because you are trying to add a legacy installer repository(these are not supported) also this interface is only capable of working with exact repository URL's" any ideas??? please help

@waz1200 If your installing the djayb6 source, then It's gone. As Ultrasn0w has been updated to work on 4.3.2.

@infinitypark003 well the updated ultrasn0w doesnt work for me then.. it does for about an hour, n then it automatically activates call baring. any tips?

@waz1200 Reinstall Ultrasn0w, reboot the iPhone, then go to Settings - Airplane Mode. Turn it ON and turn it OFF and let it search for a available Network.

Go to Settings - General - Network - Enable 3G (Turn 3G off and use EDGE if you can't get a signal)

I don't know about Call Baring. Contact your Carrier.

You can't install the baseband on the Iphone 4g on 4.2.1

@imlearningthingstube You CANNOT install the iPad 06.15.00 Baseband on the iPhone 4. As It's meant for the iPhone 3GS users who DON'T have the Unlockable Baseband. If you have the 01.59.00 Baseband, then you can unlock your iPhone 4 as It's the only Baseband that can be unlocked.

Nice. Just in time, I'm about to get an iPod Touch today, or tomorrow. I'm not sure if it comes with a warranty, if not then I'll jailbreak it.

@yelnam2manley Even if it has a warranty Jailbreaks no longer void it. Plus, if your iPod happens to break but its still recognised by iTunes you can restore it before sending it to get repaired

What benefits do you get when an iPhone is unlocked? I'm sorry, I have no such technology and so I have absolutely no idea.

@Nic0las11x12 For example, I have an AT&T iPhone and I want to use another GSM carrier, let's say, T-Mobile. I simply, Jailbreak the iPhone and unlock it using ultrasn0w. Not only you can use it to change to a local carrier, you can use it Worldwide without having to stand roaming charges. I have to keep mine unlocked because I don't use the Official Carrier here in Guam. I don't plan on buying one because I had my SIM card since 2007.

@aboawni Download 4.3.2, but don't install, ONLY if you rely on a unlock. If your on a Official Carrier then you can use sn0wbreeze, but do not hacktivate it.
