@sandrodream1 I have a lot of fond memories of Italian up-tempo pop music or the eighties as I used to live, travel and work there then. I loved the up-tempo Italian Radio stations which nearly always played really good music.Did Laura have a passion for Italian Music or was she living there. If she lived there then I could understand how she would natually love the songs and decide to sing them herself. Really a tremendous amount of music in England is from other countries.Thanks for the links

@sandrodream1 Thank you for the links. I listened to both and really found it impossible to make one better than the other though I prefere the L.Branigan version. Especially her Live stage recordings. But I prefer to respect the fact that they are only cover versions and so most credit must go to the original artist.
