Hope James sings puppets like this on the new tour. Love it when he sings with an edge to his voice. In 04, he sang it without any edge or ferocity in his voice. No offense too him but it didnt suit the song to sing it the way he did in 04. No edge, he sorta sounded like a wuss. Now, he is back to his status as ultimate metal vocalist. Just sing it this way in concert on the new tour and all my metallica based dreams will have come true.

So my point was , go listen to some pre 1993 ( year that he blew up his voice pretty bad ) , and have some real old days mighty Hetfield voice . @LeftHandedJay You are right about his voice, it has changed. His voice was way much better on earlier 90s. I have to admit that i dont like his voice during their first 3 albums, but thats my opinion. On this video his voice sounds really good not as good as before, but what we gonna do? About the sounds of their guitars i think is cuz of James voices has changed, i read somewhere, dont remember. I still love them and I accepted the changes. Metallica still rules

For their guitar tones , i think the sound of Load is awesome , but doesnt fit for the other older songs when they play live . I dont get over this , it's hard .

They just crapped up their guitar tones , for anything else , MetallicA is SO my best band ever . I dont fear saying they could be wrong , even if they're GODS .

@LeftHandedJay you're definitely right about the guitar tone since Load. you can hear it in the difference in their live sound from 1995 to 1996. its crazy. its way less metal sounding and makes them seem less heavy than they really are. i bet if they changed their guitar tone it would get a lot of the "old" fans back on their side.
