I am proud of my young African American sisters for embracing our beautiful natural hair. I'm old school and went natural about 7 years ago. I went back to straightening combs and flat irons, but have put both of them way back in the closet about 6 months ago. I am almost ahame to ask this question but here goes: When you put your hair in a puff what stops your band from sliding off or turning your puff into a ponytail? I've had to use hairpins to keep my band in place.....ughh! Somebody pls. post a suggestion! Thanks

@meyimani7 ugh..I've had to do that too.. I noticed though if I add little water to my hair to the area I want it to hold..it does the trick.....the water kinda ads volume I guess i wanna say.. Also what kind of band are you using? They have ouchless ones at Walmart the inside of it looks like plastic or rubber glue....It looks like it lol..but those help too..theyre designed to not slip...I believe theyre called no slip headbands by Goodie...hope this helps somehow :-)

These styles are gorgeous, but hairpins are not my friends. Every time I try to put in one, I hear a snap. I'm done with them for now and years to come....possibly I would use when my hair is butt length and I don't care anymore.... nah, not even then.

@giastiles1 Hi I know u weren't asking me but I know alot o times the video makers don't have the time to answer all of your questions so I decided to give it a go, u may ask what qualifies me:-) I've been natural most of my life wayyy before this new move although I went bac natural during it..I would suggest staying away from products with alcohol, mineral oil, parabens, propylene glycol, PEG, dimethicones all r unhealthy overall and can cause drying, make sure your hair is ph balanced and use
