This reminds me of keeping Robo's last digit at 9 so his Tetra Arm (if i am not mistaken) was super effective, and keeping frog's HP really low so his Frog Squash would be super effective.

@selvut998 heh, I cleared the game with Crono, Lucca and Frog in just the same lvls, and not only did I beat Lavos but I also got the Dream Team ending (the hardest one) as well, which means you have to beat Lavos with just Crono and Marle at the start of New Game+ ;)

Yes, im pretty good lol! took a LONG time though, i tell ya! lvl 50 aint easy, thats for sure! even harder with just two in your pt as well, no doubt lol!

@Fly2theSora Hehe, well, yes that is good, but that's not the only time you can get that ending, you can either get it by fighting Lavos at the very beginning, or by fighting him near the end when he appears at the Ocean Palace.

Also, try fighting Lavos with no one but Crono at about that level, now THAT'S hard.

@Fly2theSora Mmm, it's possible but it's difficult, I did it and then died during the third ending, while fighting Krawlie and the other monsters in that one room, because I didn't heal myself. But if you equip yourself well enough, though it's also a good way to eat through your items, I ate through a bunch of elixer's that way, heh.

Ha, one of my favorite soundtracks of this game. I love how Chrono's and Lavos' themes are incorporated into it - you can easily imagine a clash between our heroes and what seems to be the inevitable doomsday of the world.

...I'll admit, I actually like it better than the real final battle theme. (please don't kill/flame me!)

1:20 - 1:25  Overworld theme. Bad ass music direction. A little bit of uplifting overworld/village themes thrown in there right before the music changes and reminds you that your in the battle of your life. FFXII's Battle for Freedom does the exact same thing.

I like the other Lavos theme too, but THIS is the most epic boss theme I've heard! It's so nicely set up. This is how I imagine it:

0:00 - 0:24 : epic boss entrance

0:25 - 0:36 : evil

0:37 - 0:45 : adventure/hope

1:08 - 1:21 : epic battle, clashes swords and sweat

1:22 - 1:59 : desperation/time's running out

Quite possibly my favorite battle theme to come out of a Square game. Its epic sounding while also incorporating a couple of the main music themes of Chrono Trigger into it. If all you knew of Chrono Trigger was the music, those two features alone would be enough to know that you are now at the game's climax.
