  • Growing times cut by up to 50% , that sounds like an embellishment of the truth.

  • Interesting. But you can achieve a similar and more natural effect by making the top 1/3 of the soil lighter and milder, and putting all the nutrients in the lower 2/3 of the pot.

    This guides the roots down into the pot, rather than let the roots circle the pot in search of nutrients.

  • @tigerone1970 I prefer, multiple layers check out True Living Organics, it's a method of growing that uses layers and 100% organic ingredients. The plants are pretty much, just add water. Perhaps a few teas while the plant is growing to add more microorganisms that feed the plant.

    Thank you so much for the True Living Organics term. I am moving more and more into this direction.

    I've heard of similar things from Patricia Lanza's Lasagna Gardening, and Sepp Holzer's Hugelkultur or hugelculture.
