@TommyCraigPateyNL1 I don't mean to be rude, but your comment has several errors. Bud Davidge of Simani, wrote Bartender's Story in 1981, as a parody to this song. This tune, Bartender's Sweetheart, was written by Ellis Coles, and recorded by Dave and Aubrey in 1980, from the album of the same name. Bud Davidge is from Bay Du Nord, residing in English Harbour West, and Sim Savory is from Belleoram. Both communities are located on Newfoundland's south coast, in Fortune Bay.
