@cante199: That was simply my mistake. That time I was still new to that hobby and could not control the heli in all directions (nose in + tail in + tail left/right). So, as soon as the tail turned I just lost it .... and bang ..... down it went. The good part is, I never crashed that heli again since then. And the lessen I learned from there was to practice hovering in all directions before attempting something else.
@matli1965 hovering is ever a really smart school for use an heli.. :) nose control is quite hard to learn but when u get it the flyes become really safe and funny imho
ive crashed all my helis in the learning process CREATA400, WALKERA60B, WALKERA CB100... even thow its painfull to smash the heli its still great fun..and the rebuild is fun to , atleast for me.
even a fully learned heli rc pilot crashes.
we all do... it only takes a second of not focus and BAM! CRASH!
Yes, fully agree with you. I do like the rebuilding as well. Its all about understanding the hobby we all love. Of course I try to avoid to crash and it has been going rather fine for some time now.
Thanks for commenting on my video - appreciate it.
What is the exact problem? Do you need the mechanical setup or the receiver setup (pitch curves) for the blades setup? Give me some more details of what actual problem you encounter and I might be able to help.
i got crash with minor damage,i just broke the main gear.when i change the main gear and put it back, everything change.maybe i need mechanical setup or the recever setup for the blades. and than help me to setup the radio, because i was reset , i lost everything (my bad)
Thanks for your comments. Actually I have two CREATA 400 now and both are back and flying again. The one I had crashed in the video is already fixed. The CREATA 400 is good for getting a first impression for beginners, however I still believe that the ALIGN Trex 450 helis are a better choice; at least for me :)
Well, 3D is another flight mode (depending on your transmitters set-up) allowing you to fly "inverted" like upside down and special acrobatic flight. I suggest not to try any 3D mode (flight mode 1) until you are able to control your EP helicopter in normal flight mode. I am still practicing normal flight as well. There are many 3D EP heli videos on YouTube - go search for it and you will understand how complicated that is :)
Sorry about the crash on your new heli. It sometimes happens!
Looks like the elevator servo pulled back suddenly pitching your heli's nose up uncontrollably? Did you think that fancy new FMA CoPilot-II malfunction causing this? Or maybe it wasn't calibrated for the new area? I heard it's IR sensors can get confused by nearby trees and other obstacles.
Hi again. Nope, it was my error. I just hit the wrong control. The FMA CPII does work, but agree that it at times reacts a bit strange. However in this case it was my error and I am the only one to blame. I will have it fixed next week and should be ready to fly again next weekend ;)
Interesting, I ordered an FMA CPII unit last week! But its still on backorder.
I realize the CPII is not totally bullet proof as in the case of low level flying with little recovery time. But I want to use it as an extra safety net as I try more advanced 3D flying where the heli could get away from me visually. It also will be useful in my FPV video flights.
My Creata 400 may be my first heli it goes on. Did you run into any problems with the CPII installation and the Creata?
Hi. Basically I had no issues to mount the CPII onto the CREATA 400. Space is a little concern, that's why I had to move the vertical sensor all the way to the tail end in order to ensure a free view for the vertical sensor. All in all it went fine and let me know if you need help. I took plenty of pictures of my installation, just in case someone needs help.
Can you give us a little review of the CPII? :) How does it work with this heli?
If it works like they say, you could take your heli to an open space and get up high like 16 feet or more. The higher altitude would be actually be safer for your training! Believe me, altitude is your friend because it gives you more time to react and the CPII gives you that much more of a safety margin.
Sure, will do that. I should have the review ready by end of next week since I am currently away from home on vacation.
Yes, I agree altitude is an advantage and CPII, from what I can say so far, did work just fine. As for the crash, it was not related to the CPII but simply my error.
From time to time I noticed a "strange" sudden tail movement after I mounted the CPII. However this was not critical during flight and also could have been related to the flying environment (surrounded by trees).

Great! it seems we are at similar heli level! I had a looksie at ur other heli-vids.
think about this...
a car only takes 4 directions a heli takes 8. not to talk about NOSE IN.. and ontop of that INVERTED.
Being a ROCKET pilot is so easy compared to HELIS and thats why i like it.
its a BRAIN challange compared TO NO OTHER moving/flying vehicle!
I LOVE IT!

Hi Matili1965.
I'm really sorry for your hely.
It is a wondeful hely, but here in Italy nobody sell it on e-bay.
Best wishes.
Sandro from Italy.
