i think somethin is wrong with my traps i put peanut butter and cheese on it and thay eat the shit and it dont snap and then thay shit all around the trap im pissed and the stickey traps dont work eather thay leave hair and shit on the traps my rats are so fuckin disrespectful !!!and thei time is up thay have to go!!!! and soon

I've set a bunch of the Victor traps with the wide yellow trigger without snapping myself yet, but the other day one triggered and scared the bejeezus out of me. Now I've lost my nerve! I always hold it from the side OPPOSITE the trigger, but hooking the bar under the trigger is really dicey sometimes and one of these times it's gonna slip before I get my fingers out of the way.

That looked easy... but my mouse trap has a little hole that you are supposed to set the rod into which is kinda hard to do cos the rod is kinda short and I keep snapping my fingers in the trap! :o(

Thanks, I had great apprehension but with your fine instructions I just set two of those little victor mouse traps and put em right outside the house. Thanks much ! It has been a while since I have done this and it is just psyched me out how delicate setting those little things up ! the diagram/directions on the package blows. i bought several of these at the home depot just now. i could not figure out how to set it, and completely dismantled the bar from the trap, played around for 20 min, then got the idea to go on YT to see a video on this. so I saw yours which told me how to place the bar, but stupid me of course the thing fired off and almost took my fingers, i was wearing gloves so that saved me lol. i sure hope these work....

A little bit of some advice, DONT USE YOURE FINGER TO DISARM A TRAP. I GOT SNAPPED AND LEFT A SWOLEN LINE ON MY FINGER. use a popsicle stick or a pencil
