Hmmm, it's not always like that. Often when I play High Charity, the Brutes often already have stuck the Flood Elites before the latter could say Chocolate Spaghetti. I often try and keep the covenant alive and contain the flood. Loyalists have lttle chance against the flood when outnumbered apart from the drones which can fly.

@TheSchemer1 That's exactly right. A few times I play this level now and again and often I help out the Covenant against the Flood. I usually stand back with a carbine or a battle rifle and help them out before they spot me but in this case in such a dark level with limited space it can be quite hard to keep yourself out of their sight.

Yeah, sometimes in battles between Loyalists and the flood particularly drone/combat form battles, I either not intervene at all simply watch from afar OR I kill some equally. This is usually to witness whose boss, which is often the drones thanks to superior numbers, weapons, tactics and flying especially the ones near the "Step Of Silence" (Prophet Of Truth's first broadcast "Shall we let the flood consume a holy city".

@TheSchemer1 Yeah that's what I do aswell. I step back and right tap on the right analog stick and watch from afar and see how the drones do. If some of them start attacking me I either ignore them and try and join them up with the Flood or kill half and see if they go away when the Flood shoot at 'em :P

@AgentVamp Oh btw I recently placed High Charity on Halo 2 watched the flood/drone fight and the flood won this time. Probably because overtime the drones get tired and resort to fighting on the floor as opposed to shooting the flood forms from above.

@TheSchemer1 Yeah which kinda confuses me they can jump high but the drones have an upper hand in a battle with having to fly which brings me to the question... why go on land? rofl! no matter how tired they get they coulda just walked on the walls like they did in the very first level of Halo 2 against the humans ;).

I also kinda wish that you could experience epic fights such as Elites VS Brutes VS Flood or Elites VS Brutes VS Flood VS Sentinels VS ODSTs. That'd be sweet. *Goes to look it up*

Btw about the drone flight/land combat issue the first room in which the drones fight the flood, the drones have more of a chance (lots of room, brute assisting them, much larger in number) against the flood than they do in the second room you seem them fighting the flood they just fly in and start taking over land rather than flying freely and shooting from range.

@TheSchemer1 Especially when they're rampaging in their angry stance and they just happen to spot you during the fight and sometimes not only does it come after you, but the Flood sees you as a greater threat and instead of slashing the Brute in the back (which sometimes happens and I can't help but laugh) but he also comes charging after you alongside him and what's worse is that they have hidden friends in the shadows.

Beat downs don't work on flood and flood have advanced beat downs because of the claws. If brutes weren't retarded they would have just kept pumping plasma rounds into it. Great video though fun to watch. P.S Elites are the best of all the alien races in the Halo series.

What would happen is you put two elites with swords, 2 hunters,2 brutes, 100 flood enemies and master chief? An ass whooping, thats what it is! I wanted the brutes to win, but brutes are dumb, thats why they have so SMALL helmets to cover their BOLD spot in the center of their head. Hehehehe very good video !10/10!

Sniper Rounds and Melee attacks wont affect the rlood on halo one i used like 20 rounds on the carrier form and it still didnt blow up . melee attacks affect them but it will take like 12 melee attacks before it dies

does melee do much to flood? cuz this was mostly melee action, so if flood are as tough as in CE, then the brutes were screwed from the start

Melee unfortunately does not too much but the Brute's average melee is more powerful and rapid than the average spartan/elite's hit so I thought this would be an interesting fight of rapid slashing but unfortunately as per usual my most hated enemy won the fight.

ha yeah that's how it usually goes. brutes mess up flood with bruteshots at range though and they generally do better in halo3. got halo3? set up a fight there, if possible
