All three of these front cats are lucky to have this gig.. no diss, solid players... but "earth shaking" ? I agree with the comment about the audio from the camera? ..what's the point of demoing direct sound quality with a onboard cam mic?
Why go through the trouble to get a great band demoing your products and then use live camera audio for the video? Couldn't you get a nice board mix? Just saying....I'm a fan of the NI products, but this didn't do them justice.
@SoftballLover1231 so what happened along the way?? he became so talented and you so talentless...guess that shit doedsnt run in the family or you're just an epic fail
How do you get sounds like because it certainly isnt with guitar rig ?!?! there must be something else involved on the chain because i have it and it doesnt sound near to this at all !! Is there something im doing wrong?
is this all pentatonic stuff? too bad they're with pink, they're amazing. would like some harsh male vocals on this, you know, zakk wyldeish (pride&glory era) maybe.
Computer based modeling has come a long way since the early days. Zappa plays Zappa only used modeling technology. No amps just the monitors. It gives the sound man more control for mixing.
@acdcisthegreatest14 When you use modeling software you tend not to use a classic Marshall halfstack. Take the feed straight into a Marshall 9200 stereo power amp...run one channel to a stage cab and the other to front of house via the desk.
Battery is awesome. You don't get it for the "sounds" you buy it because it's a kick-ass sampler that's perfect for sequencing drums or controlling it w/ a controller/electronic drums.
you guys that say the drum sound sucks... do you realize that all videos from Namm have shitty sound? I don't know how many of you have used Battery, but its a pretty awesome instrument. I'd give it a test run before you dismiss it because of this video. With a little adjustment in the software, the snare and toms sound pretty decent.
I saw her guitarist (Justin Derrico) at her funhouse concert in mebourne (Aug 2009). He was awesome. Did some amazing solo's, and he is certainly not some guitarist for hire. Great talent, and great stage presence. Pink gave him heaps of spotlight throughout the show.
Justin is a seriously talented player, I used to not like Pink, but after seeing him play on the I'm Not Dead tour I'm a big fan of both of them! His playing is full of class, no ass!
he's not 'wasted' on Pink. He's a pro musician and as such would prefer to play to large audiences and get paid well than playing in some derivitive rock outfit playing to (probably) much smaller crowds for nickels and dimes. Get real...
finally, someone 'gets it'. These musicians deserve much more respect from the rock crowd, who seems content on just bickering because it isn't 1971 anymore.
She is not a selfish artist. She gives him plenty of time to shine on stage. Besides, where else can he play in front of 300,000 fans? (her 2006 headlining concert in budapest, hungary).
Way to put words in my mouth there. I'm sure she's not a selfish artist, and I'm sure she gives him time to shine, but he's just too good for her music.
There are plenty of musicians who would kill to play for P!nk. He's not "too good" for her music. She's a multi grammy winning artist and he's a musician for hire. Thats all.
That's certainly not all. I'm sure I wouldn't turn down the call, but his skills are wasted on her music - no matter how lucky he is to be there, he's overqualified.
her previous guitarist rafael moreira was WAY MORE talented and exciting on stage than Justin. Frankly he looked awkward on stage and has blossomed under Pink's guidance (regarding stage presence)
Sounds great. And i use alot of NI products, but it just doesn't look 'live' there aren't enough dynamics. I found myself closing my eyes and enjoying the music more!
The drums might have sounded good but the recording is so crappy , why to use the audio from the camcorder ?

I just gave up my normal rig for live shows, now all I need is my PC portable, my guitar,Rig Kontrol, and a mesa

I like his tone better on the other video where he is trying out a Line6 bogner

That was the Bogner Alchemist wasn't it?
CarlPotts335 2 years ago
Yeah, seems to have a heavier but still defined tone.

bigner alchemist, not line 6 bogner. The alchemist is just distributed in the same place as line 6--it is still a full on bogner amp
