Good technician but as with most young musicians you need to listen more to your underlying support(the band). Feel the chord progressions and let your soul loose!

Alto Sax!

I played alto sax for 2 years,

then my band director needed a bari sax player

so i played bari for about a year,(while playing

alto in another band)

then i joined my school jazz band and he had

too many alto's and not enough tenors

so i voulonteered, while still playing sax.

been playing sax 5 years...and im not that

good lol!...jk

Should i play the trumpet or the alto sax and why?

you should definitely play the alto sax. Sax has so much more emotion and feeling. Even if your not good, you can play with feeling and it almost would sound good. Trumpet though, has less emotion and is no where near as fun to play. If you haven't already guessed, I'm a sax player and i love it.

I go to Bloomington North. This is their best jazz band, the Advanced Ensemble. I'm in Beginning Jazz, and still can't believe how I'll ever be able to pull that off.
