I think mcilroy's got him in the department of mental clarity, mental stability, peace of mind, etc. being in a good place mentally goes a long way IMO.

No matter who U R, U, I & all of us have demons in our swings from when we 1st picked up a club. That is the nature of this game. Controlling the demons--keeping them at bay-- is what puts U over the top. Mc Ilroy allowed them to creep into his swing and then his putting stroke. He began pulling the ball on the swing, and poking at putts..-- a lethal combo.. he will be fine.. just needs some seasoning at this highest level.
@acershund1 and Tiger was plenty seasoned at 21. Tiger would never, ever shoot 43 leading the Masters into the final nine. McIlroy may very well win 5-8 majors but won't even come close to Tiger.

From the top he freezes the angle of his forearms hands and wrists and lets the whole unit simply fall as he rotates. Then when his hands are about waist high he slams his left hand knuckles down toward the ground, rotating the gloved hand bringing the club from the inside. Technically perfect.
@golfschools negative. holding your right elbow through impact is a solid swing, look at lee westwood and maybe o idk 1000 other pga pros? LISTEN EVERYONE the only problem the kid has is his stance, he's a little upright at posture, so most of his weight is on his toe, on his back swing his head moves in meaning he moves closer to the ball, sometimes he saves his movement like in this vid and sometimes he doesn't which cause a hook, slice and poor distance, in other words bad contact
Rory's elbow position half way down is poor. With the elbow that far back (instead of on the hip) it causes him to get jammed too often. In order to win more consistently he will have to change that. See Ben Hogan's tip on YouTube to see what I mean.
more people should take up golf and improve their health and stop being obese and our health care system wouldn't be so messed up. that's just my take on it. some guys at my course have to drive their carts up to the green cause they're too frikin' lazy to walk a few feet. i want to break their frikin' legs i do the lazy bums.
