I am away from home right now. It's the refill for Tim Holtz sanding tool. It looked pretty fine to me.

Question: Can this ONLY work with glossy white cardstock? Or can it be done with matte cardstock, so that various colors can be used? :)

It will be hard to scratch matte cardstock. You can try, but I think this is one technique where you really need glossy cardstock.
