as for the 00's albums that are more symphonic metal i think the new album is the best(the edge of time) second twist in the myth and last night at the opera(something about it didnt impress me maybe the extended use of overdub etc)and 2-3 songs from tales from twilight world and somewhere far beyond are really great so hope i helped new fans

well after listening to all blind guardians albums except the first 2 because i heard they are speed metal and didnt bothered my opinion for their albums is this:the best of the 90s albums is this(imaginations from otherside) and nightfall really close second.dunno but this album spoke to my heart like near no other album from any other band it has so much passion and also has a very unique dark atmosfaire and that is rare for power metal

My hierarchy of guardian albums is pretty conflicting. Definitely nightfall first, then probably night at the opera, and imaginations third. After that it's just a feeding frenzy of what I feel like listening to. It's all excellent, except tales from the twilight realm. Probably the only album I don't like.

Twilight World not realm, but this album isn't bad. There are some good songs like Lost In The Twilight Hall or Last Candle. Lord Of The Rings is a great ballad but I prefer wersion from Forgotten Tales than the original.

There's plenty of good death metal that isn't under the label melodic death metal, but as for good melodeath, I only really like Amon Amarth. Arch Enemy is ok in small doses. What about Death, Cynic, Atheist, etc? Tech death is very interesting.
