@devolve42 I'm sorry. That comment was made at a wierd time in my life. School of Rock is cool to introduce kids to the whole rock and roll experience. IMHO, there should be an age limit. Kind of like releasing the teenagers into the wild world of starting your own band with your friends and booking your own gigs. One learns a lot in seven months.
@donthaight No you don't. You have someone book your gigs for you. Book your own fucking gigs. DIY mother fucker. Watch "American Hardcore". You fucking kids are the snottiest little shits in the universe, You think you're entitled to a fucking gig. Work for your shit. Make your own flyers, book your own gigs, pay for your own recording time, and hand out your own fucking demos. I've seen you little shits running around with your fucking demos cut with pro-tools. And I record on a lap top...

I think Kids who really ROCK can get their OWN gigs. they shouldnt have adults going and doing all the WORK FOR THEM. they pay to play at places like the trocadero. Kids who work hard to be in GOOD BANDS THAT THEY THEMSELVES CREATE get to play at the trocadero and big venues. SCHOOL OF ROCK = PAY TO PLAY.The kids get their parents to cough up money for them to play a bunch of cover tunes, and they pay to get a CROWD. Kids like Myself work very hard to get their own crowd and thats why SOR sucks.
dude... chill. You know you could do both right? haha I just used my time at the rock school as a learning experience- I've had several bands that have done well on our own without any dependance on any SOR. You're right, some kids use it as a crutch for getting gigs. Some of them might not have the resources to be able to get gigs on their own. Most of these guys are doing it for fun, and because they love music.
Hey,you,MrLomaLoma, are you Paul Green because if you are, here's what i have ti tell you,im a student at the School of Rock in Cleavland, west side,i coming to the festival and i cant wait to ROCK out
Hey! I am not Paul Green but I will be at the Festival and so will he! I'll be selling DVD's of this movie there, and filming for next year. My name is Drew. See you there!
Who's genius fucking idea was it to have little kids running around a festy with otherwise awesome bands? They can't handle Ween, that's for damn sure. I'd really like to see Deaner and Gener play that parking lot area again withOUT the prepubescent 'rockers'.
Lucky man is a pretty generic prog song, bad lyrics and a boring pattern until it gets to the keys solo. Regardless,The kiddies DESTROYED the momentum of Keneally > Duo > Ween. To have just those three at a 18+ venue is a dream for some prog/experimental bands. You clearly have no clue about these bands and you're probably just the father of a 'School of Rocker'. Maybe more time in your SUV listening to James Taylor cassette tapes will make you realize rock can never be taught in a school.
Well, no one should ever say kids are incapable of playing music of any kind. The thing is, I doubt you've been to a Ween/Duo show. They're two of the most interesting modern bands today. Having them in the same place at a festival is great. I knew there were going to be kid bands, so I came just as The Duo started to play. Unfortunately, the 'all-star' band completely killed the flow, and the kids in the crowd made it impossible to smoke weed.

@spicyMcHAGGIS9green Class, this is what we call "Butt-hurt Jealousy". Which would be a really good name for a SOR alumni band, just sayin.

You could say the same thing about 90% of the most popular and successful metal and rock guitarists, and they're a lot older than this.

Funnyjunk2012 3 years ago
It's called the Shred Odyssey and it's by the SOR All-Stars!
The full song is featured in the extras on the DVD of this film.

I agree with you, tommccaff! Youth ROCKS, embrace it!
freakmeeko: If you can't enjoy rock without drugs you don't understand rock.
possiblyso: At PGSOR the most learning happens on the stage, and it works! These kids are ill nasty.
