  • @bigantelopeman I am Ugandan and am ashamed of fools like yourself. Is there nothing more important to think about your country than pathetic lust? Are you an adolescent. I sure hope you are!

  • What language are they singing? Swahili or Arabic?

  • @ParadiseofTruth

    Luganda

  • @ParadiseofTruth

    Luganda

  • Yes you´re all right. And I have to apologize for my previous comment. The dance IS actually beautiful, and valuable culture. I was just a bir frustrated because of the horrible news about Uganda lately. I mean, newspapers calling their readers to kill the gays in Uganda, that sort of things.. And I stil think this is disgusting. But the dance has nothing to do with it, so i apologize once again.

  • I'm so jealous.

  • African women, we're bionic butts!! LOL! All African women can do some form of the bionic butt. LOL! Make the hips look like rubber, swing it fast like it has no bones.

  • This song is dope!

  • Totally ridiculous. Why don´t you stop with this folkloristic bullshit and become a civilized country?

  • @hodkovice that comment was uncalled for... totally IGNORANT!

  • @tinnahcindy2008 Well, there are a lot of stupid, jealous foreigners lurking around here. Who keep seeking all of our cultural videos just to leave comments that reflect their inferiority complexes. They're embarrassing themselves.

  • @hodkovice

No wonder! Charity begins at home!!!!!!! Go hang yourself on a tomatoe tree!! Wopkid.

  • @hodkovice Why? So our culture can wind up looking like yours? Your little reverse psychology game won't work. Foreigners always try to encourage us to abandon all the most beautiful things we do in exchange for either ugly things or foreign cultural practices of much less value, so we won't stand out. They want us to abandon all the beautiful things, but then want to keep encouraging us to do shocking and ugly things so they can keep marketing shocking images all over the media about Africa.

  • @thotsins You are right my dear, typically right!!!!!

  • @hodkovice This dance is extremely beautiful, and we know it, and YOU know it.

You go to other countries like the islands & latin america, & the equivalent dances they do are making millions in tourism. So when they do it, it's exotic beauty—but when we do it, it's folkloric bullsh**t?

This dance is even more complex then what they do? LOL!

I hate when people try to down our culture and get us to stop practicing it out of jealousy. If you didn't like it—you wouldn't be watching it.

  • @thotsins Ask him gal...bang it on his head......they are jealousy, nothing else disturbing them-its jealousness....

  • Their dance is absolutely beautiful!

  • DO THEY EAT OF DA POO POO?

    trollface.jpg

  • WTH? LOOL

  • weird

  • These wounderful african dances are the best for preventing backache. I have never heard Africans complaining about backache! See the totally harmonic motions, the soft and relaxed movements. I LOVE IT and dance often by myself to african music. I am 59 and have no pain in my back :-) Follow me to a wonderful dance!!!!!!

  • If it were not for You Tube, we would never be able to see this wonderful dance and hear this beautiful music. I would love to learn this dance and I know this is not easy! Its all in the hips! Go Planets

  • @SabiraBushra yeah pay special attention to the feet it all starts with the rolling of the feet around on the edges of the feet and from the feet it just naturally goes up from there. Watch carefully and you will catch it. Peace...

  • great music but question when was the video produced? is the old man not kakembo? god bless you and need u reply.

  • I watch this video over and over for its femininity, grace and beauty.

Yes, this music holds more value than copying rap and reggae, which are not as nationally soulfilled and heartfelt and valuable to society. And, these ladies are sexier than the girls in videos who disrespect themselves with their clothing and actions for the shallow attention of men.

  • Amazing!

  • our traditional dance

  • Good bless Idi Amin!

  • The true Ugandan need no explanation, don't think this dance still perfomed in schools like in them old days.. keepup mum Nandujja can't stop listening to ur music, tell dem women. lov u big time.

  • love the music. love what the twinze/ganda boyz said about ugandan musicans. hope more will produce music with the african touch unlike the the current jamican influence.

  • lol love the fights kkkkkkkkkk

  • @MISSHERMAN2007

I enjoyed the fights too. But I think they have a serious message.

  • beautiful dance and song i love it !

  • Sooo loving this. The artist is amazing. Love the traditional dress. So beutiful and graceful. What can i say about the dancing! Just grrrreat! BIG UP UGANDA.

  • cool im not african but im from honduras and in honduras african influence is very rich! this dance is somewhat similar to honduran punta!! you guys can compare by looking at da videos, like looking up Garifuna Honduras

  • F#$%k Europe, F%$#@k everybody, Long live Africa.

  • Thats why I love my home continent- Africa. Africa rules.

  • i am from uganda and we do that sort of thing ma sis doese it it is well cool i tried it absoulutley fun u guys should try it i also understand the lunguage

  • it is only our continent where you can get every thing in balance, rich in natural resources, best wild life, best people in mankind who never commited any crime against thier human fellows, and also most beautiful women on planet i like thier feature body structure is unique OH OH no any other women can match the way african women dance at thier hips and back side movement VIVA VIVA our ladies.

  • Easy now with the crime against the human fellows talk skippy...take a deap breath n think about it....

  • Abakyala na Abami have the homework to work on. Do we get the message in the west? Goooo mukazi gwe ne timu yo. Hard to take the eyes off the action...Pride of African culture.

  • A truly great production that is entertaining, aesthetic and with good moral messages. Shine Uganda shine!

  • That's a very fine dance. The hips take everything, but whoever still has enough presence of mind to look at the feet will find even more wonders, the way they seem to glide, and not just dash, sideways. As an effort in coordination and balance that's one of the most challenging tasks any dancer can face, to align the vigorous shaking of the hips with the independent but equally fluid and nuanced motions of the feet. Check out the Igbo, Efik and Ibibio of Nigeria; they do the same thing.

  • @Outreachat Yeah thats my wifes traditional dance style it is from Uganda. Yeah I agree the whole motion comes from the rolling of the feet. It starts at the feet and goes up.

  • samzie2006 Kiganda traditional singing is in a particular style ie 'eggono'.Off course rapp, pop or jazz is the same type of voice,Why are you then confused? No one can claim to sing this type of song unless they have that vocal ability.

  • Tuyina bawala...shiiiiiaaaaa....and oh...basoga balimu so horny..hehe.

  • wooooooooooow thanks it is very great song

  • Thanks nandujja great song

  • they dance very well.

    i like!

  • i dont understant the language but i luv it, but i think i got the idea wat she is tlkin about cuz the video illustrate more of wats goin on

    TRUE??? help

  • i miss this!...why is it that the singers for this type of music always have the same type of voice?

  • KADODI!!

    ohh man i remember that

  • Wow!! We Africans r black but not our brains. We never give a damn to life n joy despite the fact that our continent is general poor coz we know that it´s God´s making but not ours.

  • Our continent is not poor because of God's making; It is poor because of the western political giants who run the world right now and want africa to stay in bad conditions while they plunder all of our wealth. They are acting indepenently from God's will. Humans mess up the earth, not God, he gave us a good loving start and humans messed it up from there.

  • lets stop blaming the western world for all the doom and gloom of our countries.

  • our politican have played a big role in the poverty we face in our countries.

  • Comment removed

  • Our conttinent is not poor. God has given all of us generously. If there were no wealth in Africa, foreigners would not be there. They have been taking from us for centuries. Even so, we still have a lot of resources. Politics is another matter but the wealth is there.

  • YEP!

  • @PAULLEONORAH u r rite man great 2 be african...

  • She is advising men and women to respect each other. Avoid gossiping, multiple partners jealous, and to keep the family issues in yr home. That how can u expect to raise a decent child, while you take yr child to your escapades!! A decent MUGANDA would not go out in the public with her underpants showing! That young men sleep with older women, for a new pair of pants!! what a waste to yr mother's energy who gave u life. Finally gives thanks to those who are doing their best. U get it?

  • Dasher2007,av liked ur explanation so much.lam from Northern part of Uganda but most of my friends were Gandy girls when l was in Lira sch of nursing. • @firebirdhans im not hating .i just dont like it ,there is a difference

  • @ugandanchic Both dances are pretty, just goes to show you the rich diversity Africans have. There is soo much, and it's all gorgeous. One is not better than the other, they're all their own unique styles. When you have an abundance of unique dances—and they're ALL beautiful? That's what makes a culture rich.

  • she is teaching morale - talks the importance of marriage and of being faithful and living a descent life. Talks of how these days african behaviour seem to be changing to the worse - e.g. girls dressing in such a manner that the underwear shows out and how even some religious people go the extent of raping cows, and things like that. We sell afro music and would surely be please to sell this one!

  • which language does she speak ?

    which tribe?

  • The language is LUganda, the tribe is Mu(BAganda)from the central part of Uganda called BUganda.

  • Good music and talent period

  • Fantastic video. The dance, the music, the singing, maximum respect. I speak a different tongue to the singer but her body language and facial expressions are afroversial. She is larger than life. Formidable. A total performer. Thank-you thank-you. I would so like to see the group live.
