Dracula is Christopher Lee and Christopher Lee is Dracula.

Why?

He was the first to have fangs, red eyes. A cap in black and red. And the first ever showen in colour.

And he is the one who has played most Dracula-films.

I am very fond of this clip. I confess I've a soft spot for Lugosi, but Lee is splendid. However, I could not say that I could equate the monstrosities of the Insidious (and questionable) Dr Fu Manchu to those of Herr Frankenstein's monster, as the narrator seems to have done. Thank you for sharing. Brilliant actor.

Just a technical comment - it's interesting to note that Lee's fangs are actually individual caps rather than the single bridge piece worn by most Hammer vampires of the period. (I used to live up the road from the old Bray Studios and knew one of the Hammer make-up men).

Christopher Lee makes me love Dracula since I was ten years old.

In his performance of this figure Dracula seems to be not only gruel and bad but also lonely, vulnerable and looking for love.

He needs somebody to understand him I think.

what a FANTASTIC Clip!!! One of my fave films, Christopher Lee is the King of Vampires...even todays vampie movies such as Thirty days of night for me can't match Mr Lee's screen majesty. I've long had a special fondness for this installment in Hammer Horror's "Dracula" series, and since "the powers that be" didn't bother to include this behind-the-scenes offering on any of it's DVD incarnations, I think you for being so good as to share it with us.

Lee sure was, that's for sure. He kept complaining about why Hammer didn't just stick to the book. Indeed, for alot of the sequels they basically blackmailed him into it: if we don't have you, then everybody else on the film is out of work.
