USA should've "shock and awed" Iraqi hearts and minds with a few billions of dollars to get these mended asap, & allowed iraqi police security control.
Iraqis were suffering great injustices from Saddam's regime. I'm sure yu'll agree.
However, in Iraq and during his time: (1) There was negligible Al-Qaida influence. (2) The Iranian influence was underground. (3) Women were able to walk freely unvailed & Alcohol was openly available. (3) There was no violence except for the limited Government violence which was avoidable if u keep head down. (4) USA invasion was welcomed by majority of iraqis until violence spread all over.

Middle eastern countries, including Iraq, have had many military coups with sudden regimes changing over the years.
Everything always goes smoothly.
The top ministers are replaced but all others (police, military, teachers...etc) get on with their work as normal on the next morning.
The triumphant forces in Iraq decided it was a wonderful idea to dissolve police and military then allow country to fall into lawless chaos.
The huge numbers of USA soldier lives lost since was totally avoidable.
