  • This is some awesome music!I cant even believe its all natural and no technology to pollute these guys voices!

  • They need a paypal coin drop. I'd totally pay just for surfing past this video.

  • this so much better than the shit they tape in studios, where the real voice just disappears. THIS IS THE REAL DEAL!<3

  • awesome!!!!!!

  • find a new lead

  • They clap so freakin LOUD

  • No, this was not the Longchamps restaurant, which I remember as well. It was a leather goods store.

  • Does anyone know if at 6:30 into the video if the "Longchamp" sign to the left of the singers is a restaurant? My grandfather worked at a restaurant with that name for over 40 years as the head Bartender. I was jw if anyone knew it that was the original restaurant. BTW these guys sound fantastic!

  • They have been in Washington Square Park on weekends when the weather permits, and they have a new name: Select Blendz or Select Blends. Some other musicians, too and some new songs. Check for them on YouTube!

  • good but boring after abit but do like it

  • Awesome! How music should make everyone feel!

  • the duke of earl is cool

  • Ecxellent, Thank you. These gys are better than many of the professional singers. They have SOUL!

  • These guys ARE professional. This music started out on the street corner and is best perfomed and purest in its original environment: THE STREET.

And...Groundstone just won a NME award for best street video. Is that professional enough? Hollywood take note!

  • Thanks for the info and reply. Also glad they won the best street video award and they deserve it. I do not live in the US, and no idea they were professional. I'm a big Sam Cooke fan, and had Sam been alive, he would've been proud of them.

  • @Lubnagilani everyone has soul, its just a matter of tapping it.

  • Does anyone know what the first song they are singing is called & original artist? Thanks

  • There is a fragment of "So in Love" or "So Much in Love" I don't know the artists, then "Duke of Earl" original by Gene Chandler.

  • The first song is "Duke of Earl" original by Gene Chandler" #2 is "What A wonderful world" by Sam Cooke. #3 Is "When You Dance" by The Turbans. #4 is "The Lion sleeps Tonight" first recorded by its writer, Solomon Linda, and his group, The Evening Birds made Famous by The Tokens. #5 is "Why Do Fools Fall In Love" By Frankie Lymon & the Teenagers. #6 Is "Chain Gang" By Sam Cooke.

  • All the song's they're singing are listed in the description =)

Artist of Duke of Earl - Gene Chandler

  • "Duke of Earl" is a 1962 number-one song, originally by Gene Chandler. It is the best known of Chandler's songs, and he subsequently dubbed himself 'The Duke of Earl'.
