  • "Never did a single deed to earn the right to share her light"

    AMAZING, simply AMAZING!

I'll meet you Haley Rose Bell in glory! (And, give you hugs!)

Thank you, Collin. "Choose life so that you and your children will live..."

    Deuteronomy 30:19

  • God Bless all of you who are suffering with a sick or dying child.

  • How didn't this song go number one? This is a song from the heart. Not many singers can write songs like this. Like this if you think that this song should have went number one! Thank you Collin Raye for such a beautiful song even tho all the pain you went through losing your grand daughter.

  • I love this video!!! I have an autistic little girl and this is not sad! It is BEAUTIFUL!!!!

  • My father played this video to me and I started crying. So sad...

  • Devastating.

  • This is the first time I've seen this video. I'm trying to type as the tears roll down my face. I've answered with a video response because his granddaughter reminds me of my granddaughter Vanessa. She is 18 yrs. old, cannot talk or walk. She was born with Rett Syndrome. I may be wrong, but it seems like his beautiful granddaughter Haley may have had this monstrous disorder that attacks our girls. My angel's symptoms got worse as she's gotten older :-( Hugs to all of you with angels.

  • This is for the parents of every special needs child. My son is Autistic and has developed well, but this song is still relevant. His behaviors get the reactions in the song.

  • Our daughter Kalee is 10, She has over 10 diagnosis but most common would be cerebral palsey, severe mental retardation and epilepsy. She cannot walk and she cannot talk, but she tells us what she wants by her cries or hand gestures. She is very unique, and complicated. We have days that are so hard and we question ourselves CAN WE CONTINUE TO DO THIS? What a horrible to think! But when she smiles at us IT IS ALL WORTH IT, WE WILL NEVER GIVE UP. SHE NEEDS US AS MUCH AS WE NEED HER.

  • My son Dylan is 7 (fixing to be 8 next month) he is battling Late Infantile Batten Disease. He looks just like Colin Raye's precious granddaughter in the video that passed away. This song definitely touches my heart and Im crying tears of joy. Thank you Colin for this beautiful song! God Bless!

  • @sweetDylansmommy

I have a dear friend who's son Chris passed away about 8 Months ago from complications of Battens Disease. He was 36 (I think) and one of the oldest survivors of this disease. Although Chris could know longer communicate through words, his smile could light up a whole room. My prayers go to you and your son, and Battens awareness. So few have ever even heard of this disease, much less understand how special that these children really are on the inside. GOD BLESS!

  • I'd like to thank Mr. Raye for the insight and kindness that sings due respect and love for those who are challenged yet rise above the fray to shine like the sun.

He's done it for years; it's his way, and personally, I couldn't ever thank him enough. Thank you, Sir, from all of us lovers of life. You sing our hearts, too.

  • My son is 5 can not walk talk brush his teeth, daddy and I have to do EVERYTHING for him, and this song right here speaks to my heart!! I <3 it...

  • A beautiful and amazing song. My daughter has a rare degenerative disorder called Pyruvate Dehydrogenase Complex Deficiency and this song is just HER. Thank you, Collin.

  • This song is so beautiful. My 12 yr old little girl has Spina Bifida and to me.....she IS perfect. I feel so blessed.

  • God Bless all the people with handicaps...Uncondtional Love and understanding

  • @survivrs, Thank you so much for your blessing! We appreciate all the prayers and blessings offered by our friends, both known to us and those we have never met!

  • This song is so beautiful, one of the best songs i've ever heard!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is an awsome song. i am so sorry for your loss Collin Raye I am a special needs adult who has cerebral palsy and have been fortunate enough to be able to walk and talk but i can relate tot his soneg i used to help the others in the pecial needs class and hailey reminds me of a few of them she is a beautiful young lady and she will be with you forever

  • This song is amazing! I take care of people who have disablilities and they are some of the best people in this world. They never take anything for granted and they are the most loving people out there. Its a shame that not everyone in this world can be so loving and grateful for everything.

  • Collin Raye is my favorite country singer. It was hard to see his granddaughter go. His granddaugter is actually a cousin of mine. Even though I never got to meet her, it was hard on my great aunt as my great aunt is actually Haley's great grandma.

  • my heart goes out to all these children they might not be prefect like other children but in Gods eyes and their partents eyes they are prefect and remember love your children why you can no batter how they are or what they have done.

  • It really looks and sounds like his granddaughter had Rett Syndrome. My daughter has RS and holds her hands just like that. I'm not a country fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I love this song. It makes me cry.

  • I'm a 26 year old single mother of an almost 3 year old daughter who has Cerebral palsey, She has just learned to stand with help and doesn't talk. I relate to the line "I HEAR HER CALL THE ONLY WAY SHE IS ABLE, WITH A CRY." I have learned how to interpret what she wants. This song is so beautiful. I keep playing it and crying. I don't know What I did to deserve such a special Angel but I am so honored and humbled that god Chose to bless me with her. My whole world. Peyton~Jo SHE'S WITH ME!

  • @babygirlzmommy I'm 20 and I have the same disease your daughter does, although it sounds like she has a more savere form of it then I do. I was home schooled for most of my life. I spent my senior year of high school at stow monroe falls and with the aid of a walker I'm now attending college my minor is psycology and my major is speech Pathology and audiology. I want to give you some information that I truly believe may be helpful to you. my email address is mrobin32@kent.edu please contact me

  • @Riema32391 alright I will thank you

  • @Riema32391 alright I will thank you.

  • She was ill when I went to Collinfest in 6/08 and no cure was known. Collin is such a gracious, funny, wonderful person who no matter how his heart might be breaking for his granddaughter who is now in heaven, put on such a show that week at the Friday night finale of the week long fun a bunch of women from all over came to see him. That was the best present my husband has given me since our 2 sons were born. I am so fortunate and still love Collin Raye!

  • <3 Reminds me of my 5yr old little brother who has Down Syndrome, he can't walk or talk yet. But he always wakes up with a smile and his many surgeries can't even bring him down. Makes me think about all the things I've complained about in my life and how wrong I was. He's my special little angel and I wouldn't want him any other way.

  • i love this song. did haley pass away from cerebral palsy?

  • @amyfife yes, she passed in April of last year.

  • this gave me chills.i didn't know collin had a disabled child.a beautiful song 4 a beautilful lil girl

  • Comment removed

  • @rebawantabe75 It is actually his grandaughter. Saddly she passed away in April. You are right, she is so beautiful and so is the song.

  • Colllin, I can almost feel your pain as you sing this beautiful song, I'm assuming about Hailey-I hope I spelled her name right. I know it's belated but I am so sorry for your loss. I know you loved her so dearly. I don't understand why God takes our children before us as parents or grandparents as in your case. I can only say again how sorry I am. A Collinator who can't afford dues right now. God bless.

  • I can never tire of hearing this song... my precious "diva princess" has cerebral palsy, doesn't talk or walk. But I am so blessed to have her in my life, if only I could trade mine for hers. And if only she could speak... I love you my angel

  • WOW!!! What a touching song!!! God Bless you all!!

  • WOW!!! What a touching song!!!

  • God Bless You!

  • Song makes me think of my cousin! The day he was born they laid him in my aunts arms and told her to hold him till he passes but he never did! They always tell us he isnt going to make it much longer! He is 21 years old! I love him so much! I dont know what i will do when he dies i love that boy so much!

  • I think the video and song are beautiful. It is great to know that there are people out there that can relate to what life is like with a disabled child. I know my baby is almost 8 yrs. old. She can't walk or talk and she still eats from her bottle. She is completely dependent on her dad and me for everything. Our biggest goal is to know that we have done everything we can to make her as happy as possible. Thanks for making a song that families like us can relate to for a change.

  • My daughter was born with cerebral palsy and she has a seizure disorder. She too is in a wheelchair and she cannot walk or talk but she is so sweet and happy and always smiling. This song made me cry and looking at the love this man has for his granddaughter is so beautiful and I completely understand where he is coming from. Thank you for showing the world how special our beautiful children are to us and how much love they need and how much love they give back.

  • i am sorry about haley passing. i love this song it is inspiratinal. thank you Collin Raye for sharing your heart with us in this son

  • I love Collin Raye. He songs always have so much passion and love behind them. What a wonderful song and such a beautiful message.

  • I was so sorry to hear of Haley's passing this past April. Know she is with our Heavenly Father, running, singing, playing. You'll see her soon. My condolences to the family.

  • My God, I'm lost for words. I have 'Granddaughters' and I love them beyond words. Alot of love in this song. 'Collin' I'm so sorry for your loss. You have been and you are my favorite singer. you rock young man!!

  • Your song has touched me so......what a blessing. Thank you so very much for putting into such a beautiful song the way I feel about my son. Praying for blessings for you and your family.

  • My son is special in all the same aspects as Haley. The song is perfect! For some to write the words and sing the way he does, shows he truely understands and feels what he sings about. I'm very sorry to hear about Haley's passing a couple months ago. She is now in Heaven, perfect, waiting for her grandfater to enter and say," He's with me".

  • I am truly sorry for your family's loss. I can't imagine losing something so precious. I have a daughter and she is the greatest thing in my life. Anyone who has had the joy of a child in their life can understand how special it really is and that this time is very short that we share with them. Before you know it their all grown up. A child is a privilege to have in your life and no matter how long you share with them. Hold them close and tell them you love them every chance you get.

  • I hope that Collin Raye puts out the song I Love You This Much on radio and makes a video. Another powerful song by Collin Raye.

  • @supportthetroops28 that is a good song too! Hopefully he will release "The Cross" as well!

  • He has recorded a lot of songs but this one is my favorite. Powerful song and video. Brings tears to my eyes. Collin Raye is a great singer and songwriter. Thank you for posting this video. May Collin Raye's granddaughter Haley Bell Rest in piece. I bet this was a tough song to record and a tough video to make. Thank you Collin Raye for writing this song, recording it, putting it out on radio, and making a video. One more thing Never Going Back is an awesome cd.

  • another great song that i heard on radio

  • The most beautiful book i've ever read "Tattered Angel" by Blain Yorgansen about his daughter who was born with hydrocephalus (sp?). highly reccomended.

  • I had to hold back my tears for this one.. jus beautiful..

  • Great Song. I was told about this song from someone who also has a special Angel, her name is Karley. She has several things that cause her to be a lot like Haley, almost Identical. Even tho I no longer get to see her, she stays with me in my heart and prayers. I feel lucky to have gotten to spend the time I got with her. I still keep faith God hears all our prayers for all children. I try to think that God gives us these truly blessed children to help US in our life. Think how lucky we are.

  • Collin,

We attended my sister-in law's memorial service today, She went to heaven last week after a 65 year battle with cerebral palsy. This song describes her perfectly. I'm sorry about your granddaughter's death, but I know that she and Mamie are perfect now.

  • When I drop my kids off at school in the mornings there's a bus blocking the street to pick up a boy who is in a wheel chair and can't hold his own head up. His father pops a wheelie while he's taking him to the bus and kisses his head every morning. That is a special kind of love. Seeing that for the first time made me start being more affectionate to my own kids.

  • The few that are chosen to hold an angel right here on earth are the one's who are truly blessed. You are right, she is with you and will continue to be each day as the most beautiful wonders of nature remind you of this beautiful little girl. I pray you see her in each sunrise and feel her with every warm breeze that caresses your face. Thanks for sharing your angel. Hugs, Maddie's mom 9/12/88 - 10/10/05

  • ACE SONG XXXXXXXXXXXX

As the mother of a special needs daughter that has never walked or spoken I am forever grateful to you for sharing the story of your precious Haley and the beautiful song in your heart that speaks to our hearts. • I just watched this video for the first time (and cried most of the way through it)....Haley is so BEAUTIFUL! Now, I read Haley passed away on Holy Saturday and I'm crying again. Wow, Collin, how blessed she was to be a part of your life (and you a part of hers). My family and I will pray for you.

  • update on Haley: She went to be with the Lord on April the 3rd.

  • Thank you Collin Raye for such a beautiful song.

I have a special needs daughter and I feel very blessed to have her in my life.

It is an honor to be her mother.

  • Such a beautiful song. Thanks for posting.

  • Just watched this video - She's With Me -- it is beautiful and broke me to tears! My daughter has disabilities and unable to speak so I can identify with your words. Just like the song "When You Say Nothing At All" ... " the smile on your face ....

Thank you for writing such a beautiful song that displays the feelings and emotions those of us that are parents of children with disabilities feel about our beloved children.

  • This song makes me think of my cousin that has been in alot of pain his whole life! He is 20 years old and has had over 20 stroke.. He is in congestive heart failure right now! he means the world to me he has more then a brother then any of my 5 brothers i have

  • An absolute precious child and an angel of God. Thank you Collin for such a wonderful song. It makes me cry but it is a treasure ...as she is.

  • What a great song! She's an angel.

  • Great song.

  • That is unbelievably touching. God bless Collin Raye and his family, especially his granddaughter.

  • What a beautiful song for a beautiful little girl. Just precious.

  • Stacey

Hey Jim and Mel. When I closed my eyes I could hear your voices harmonizing in the background.

I'm sure you new the words by heart, before you ever listened to the song--love you Stace

  • Awesome song that so describes my heart for my son who has multiple disabilities. I could not have said it better. It is a beautiful song. Thank you for writing this! I cry every time I listen and it is good. So nice to know someone understands this incredible love for our kids. Thank you thank you!

  • thank you for sharing this beautiful song and pics.

a mom on hypotonia board posted this for all of us to see and i am so glad she did. it touched many of us and said so many things that i feel but have no words for.

    thank you.

  • My son can walk, but is very ataxic (unstable) and is non-verbal. He is 3 1/2. He is the most perfect person I have ever met. He is an angel here among us. This song speaks so deeply to my heart. And there is nothing sad about this song, except the people who look away. It is moving. It is heartfelt. It certainly elicits tears and great emotion. But nothing sad! When I listen, I feel love, not sadness. Thanks so much to Collin Raye for writing what my heart sings too.

  • @lacyndarella

I agree with you, this song does make me cry but the tears are not of sadness, they are of joy. My angel is now 26. He's delighted me every year of his life. I wake up every day praying for more time with him, as much as God will allow. If everyone got to know the joy we know, it would be a better place to live.

  • @lacyndarella As a Collin Raye fan for well over a decade now, this song does make me cry because his blessed granddaughter Haley Bell whom this song is about died at the age of 9 on 4/3/10. She was Brittany's daughter. If you are familiar with Collin's music, I had his song "She's gonna fly" played at my mom's funeral because it speaks to Alzheimers and my mom was ravaged by the disease. God bless you and your son!!!

  • ]; this is so saddd!

  • I am the biggest Collin Raye fan EVER!! He has brought me to my knees with his music for nearly 20 years, so I am not the least bit surprised to hear this from him, but what really impresses me is that he wrote it!!!!!!!!! Breathtaking!!!!!!! I am so glad he's back, too! :)

  • THIS IS SO CUTE!!! makes me cry

  • Comment removed

  • beautiful, the words came right from my heart. I have a special needs child who cannot speak and I never could express they way I feel about her. Thanks Collin for doing it for me.

  • We are ALL Gods children. No one is better or worse in his eyes. too many people judge people from the outside. If people would just stop, and just Love as Jesus would want us to. Things would be so different in this world.

  • When a song can bring you to your knees, thanks Collin. That's what makes country music special, it's from the heart.

  • WOW! Humbling!!!

  • Omg so sad :( Makes me think of my special needs brother when I hear this.

  • thank you

  • this is so beautiful....and so true!
