  • Devoted Druid is imo better with Quillspike

  • You can never win with this combo, its too slow

  • here's where affinity kicks some ass... second-third turn win

  • It's a good explanation of the combo and all, but I'm sorry my friend, there are many, many, many more flaws than those two. For example, destroy target creature, return target creature to it's owners hand, destroy all creatures, exile target permanent, destroy target artifact... And many, many more...

  • @jlyxxy8 er... the biggest flaw is what is the chance that yo will pick the necessary hand to do this? even if you have 4 of each, there is little chance to get all of them...

  • Wow do you realize that you are mana burning yourself every time you tap devoted druid??? Sooooo you're dead before you can even use your combo

    this deck=fail!

  • @aksisu11 Manaburn is removed in the new rules, and he's not using the = T: Add G. He's using the Presence of Gond ability = T: Put a 1/1 green ellf warrior token into play.

  • @aksisu11 he's actually not for 2 reasons. 1. mana burn is no longer, and hasn't been applied for awhile, and 2. if mana burn was still used, he wouldn't be mana burning himself because he's tapping them for 1/1 elves not mana. Thus, your theory is wrong my friend

  • @aksisu11 your logic is false, mana burn isn't in effect anymore

  • i have an elf deck with a planeswalker and when the time is right i can use her ability to bring AS MEANY ELFS from MY DECK AS I WANT!

  • @1NWS Try playing anyone with a deck that has creatures in it, no sain person lets nissa get anywhere near her ultimate ability.

  • @kevinmarielove it is half blue too so i use clockwork tokens to give her more counters (4) so once i play her, have 4 islands, and 4 clockworks i can use her ability!!!!!!!! muhahahahahahhahaha

  • @1NWS Can you get her to her ultimate ability in one turn?

  • there is 2 many card early in the game that can easyly whipe this combo out.. it was a good thought and try but this is not a very good combo at all 2 many cardss can distroy it, disenchant, doom blade, shock ex....... sorry bro

  • well you also for got if anyone has any kind of doomblade, terror, or distroy deck you would b screwed

  • fog and @least 2 nacatl war-prides will turn a combo like that around against u fast

  • consume the meek, paraxian rebirth, day of judgment, worldslayer, doomblade... need i go on?

  • that combo is terribly bad. your opponent would kill your creatures, or counter them, it takes too many turns and it need lots of cards, instead of two

  • Comment removed

  • BURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

  • now see i run a elf deck but i also run a burn deck and this will not work bc i would kill everything

  • your reading coat of arms wrong, they get +1 +1 for each OTHER creature that shares a type with it, so instead of everything +3 +3 in the beginning it would be +2 +2

  • Eh, I prefer exponential combos instead of linear ones.

  • Realy you only nead the druid, coat, and gond.

I made a deck based on this and it kicks but when you get it going but people find it cheesy. I like saying I did infinite damge.

Also you made a opps your creature you have out there are at 2:04 so its a +1/+1. Not that it matters now that you can create infinite elves.

  • Turn 6*. Also, there are many modern combos such as kuldotha red that turn 3/4 kill reliably, and if they kill a single elf token I think that makes your generator die. Just by the way, why are 10 40/40s dying in a single block?

  • This combo does work. However, coat of arms technically doesn't grant +1/+1/ counters, just alters power and toughness. Yes, this can be relevant in a match. Nice turn 5 kill unless they wrath the board.

  • I gotta combo for you guys: Tree of Life, Crown, Hidden Manna, Iron Rule, Pure Raiment, Pillar, Throneship with Almighty.

    Infinite.

  • wrath of god.......gtfo noob -.-

  • Too bad decks like Turbo Fog and permission exist to annihilate this deck.

  • predator dragon

  • bad deck is bad

  • 1 problem Coat of Arms & when my knights are on target you took 5 rounds & by then I've buffed my mirran crusader & it's over. It's a good try but I could give you a 3rd round legacy legal elf explosion deck.5 rounds is just 1 to many

  • use the new Green chick Milra or whatever and you can't get -1/-1 counters BUT you can try to give yourself one and it goes away

  • coat of arms does not give +1/+1 counters but Devoted Druid gives herself -1/-1 counters. If any of those elves die her -1/-1 counters begin to wear her down which means losing 10 elves would kill her. I use a more legacy esque strategy with Intruder Alarm and Imperious Perfect.

  • 4:50 or if he plays maelstrom pulse

  • Its seems like everyone has already covered why this doesnt work, But Ill say it again:

Coat of arms adds +1/+1 for every OTHER elf, so your bonus is always one less than the number of elfs you have out, additionally coat of arms does not give the bonus in +1/+1 counters, so the negative counters would stack and kill your elf. If you really want an infinate elf combo that works I recomend:

-Llanowar elf (or any elf that taps for mana)

    - Imperious perfect

    - intruder alarm on the field.

  • @Otakuacid devoted druid's toughness is 2 so it will stay at 1 toughness during the entire combo.

  • @thebigfour13 The -1/-1 counters stack, so the moment you have performed the effect twice the 2 -1/-1 counters would kill the elf.

  • @Otakuacid Yes but the coat of arms also makes your elf more powerful. A +1/+1 for each other creature. So another elf comes into play put another +1/+1 do to Coat of Arms. It works. I purchased the cards. :)

  • This combo is broken because coat of arms does not add +1/+1 "COUNTERS" to the creatures... but only +1/+1 per each elf -1... nice try tho try running with immaculate magistrate if u want the +1/+1 counters out there

  • its one less that what he was saying its not +42/+42 its only +41/+41 its one less that whats siting on the the battle grounds

  • how was the invisible guy doing 400??

  • And there never was a next video...

  • this is an amazing strategy, I love it.

  • Well, really nice strategy, but i still prefer the Devoted Druid + Quillspike combo.

  • maelstrom pulse?

  • turn 4 fog then wrath of god

or for all the goblin lovers turn 4 since elves dont have haste :( goblin sharpshooter and shatter :( sorry bro pingin the 1/1s to death

  • Day of Judgement+Back to nature

    FUCK!

  • they aren't +1/+1 counters, as long as coat is on the field, she stays alive, if it's gone, she dies

  • He plays Wrath GG

  • @MnE4life asceticism :>

  • Technically, she gains no counters. The combo still works, though, and you get as many elves as you want.

    That's pretty cool.

  • @DragnBludthrsty she gains alot of counters.... -1/-1 counters

  • They say lightning never strikes twice in the same spot oh wait tap 2 mountains and I play two lighting bolts (wahhhh wahhhhh)

  • Something simple like Echoing truth would return all those elves and destroy devoted druid. Not really a fan of infinite combos unless theyre turn 2 or earlier. Not to mention this setup does nothing until turn 4, leaving your opponent open to rape you. And thats assuming that the top 10 cards of your library contain these 7 cards.

not trying to trash your strategy, its a good idea.

  • wouldn't a destroy artifact card rip this combo apart?

  • path... burn spells lol.... this combo is not that great lol

  • if you want infinite comb elf you play Glimpse of Nature, Heritage Druid and Nettle Sentinel

  • @iloverikku714 lol, i made a deck somewhat like lsv's . same idea. just spitting out elves then grapeshot lol

  • @iloverikku714 If I'm not mistaken, which I might be, you need 3 Nettle Sentinels in play to play this combo and your only alowed 4 in your deck. And even so it doesn't even garanti you to get all the elves in the deck if u get some unlucky draws. I've heard this combo before, but I really can't see why it's so great. If I've missed something plz tell

  • Ok for one Coat of Arms does not give +1/+1 counters. It gives each creature gets +1/+1 for each other creature in play that shares a creature type with it. so 3 elfs out in play, each will get +2/+2. the Devoted druid will keep the -1/-1 counters on him. to only thing keeping it alive is the +1/+1 he gets for the new elf out.

  • @ryokot4

yupp and if they kill say 3 of the tokens bye bye devoted druid.

  • @Clock83131 Lol Thx for the response, I wasn't thinking of anything like that.

  • Aggro with forestwalk or flying isn't threat to this combo. Burn and Control decks are.

  • wow, how do you kill 10 42/42 on turn 4???? I dont think I could kill one 42/42 on turn 8 (depending on my deck)... also, A well placed Shatter or Naturalize turns 20 42/42s into 20 1/1s, lol

  • wow, how do you kill 10 42/42 on turn 4???? I dont think I could kill one 42/42 on turn 8 (depending on my deck)

  • no problemo with flying just try to put a gravity well on the field and you are safe

  • one question how in the hell would he take out 10 43/43's on the 4th turn? I could understand 1, 2 or maybe even 3 if he had the right destroy creature cards. Otherwise cool combo.

  • @Devistasion agreed lol

  • @Devistasion On turn 4? I can think of three cards.

Day of Judgement. Wrath of God. Damnation.

  • Oh? Is that an infinite elf combo? …wrath of god...

  • Elvish champion would help alot, and so would skyshroud ranger.

  • takes less cards to use imperious prefect, intruder alarm, and lanowar elves. you can also use harbringer with mine to produce mana (any color) and also snag the imperious. it lands on the same turn as yours. Mine also untaps ALL creatures, so i can inf. wellwisher if i wanted (but i use Essence warden instead, giving me 1 life whenever i use the combo essentially. another fun thing to do is 2HG and i let my teammate use a pinger, resulting in inf. dmg as soon as turn 3 .

  • infinite combos are gay!

  • Thanks Eddy

  • Am i missing something? Wouldn't the elf die if it has too many -1/-1 counters?

  • @mavarek666 omg :P yes! you did missed something. it gets a -1/-1 and you put out a elf token, and thanks to the coat of arms every elf gain a +1/+1 counter for each other elf on the battlefield :P it looses counters to get out new elfs while gaining counters tanks to the coat of arms because the elf populations continues to evolve.

  • yep, flying for elfs can be a pain in d ass.

  • please make more magic combo videos.

  • yOU MESSED UP THERE IS 3 WHEN U MAKE 2

  • How about just Immaculate Magistrate, Llanowar Elves, and Intruder Alarm? Faster, and works better in my opinion.

  • @Cabose407 yes thats better combo but this was T2 last year .)

  • Wat is the enchament called

  • duh duh duh duh doooooooooom blade!!!!!!! (or wait until he has done everything and think he has one and pull out your retro cards... aka wrath of god

  • Also : Your Arch Druid would've died if you had 2 or more elves dying, since the -1/-1 counters would still be there. :P

  • Actually : It's not +42/+42, since you have 42 creatures.

It's +41/+41 cause coat of arms make +1/+1 for each other creature with the same type.

  • OMFG Coat of arms dont give you +1/+1 tokens. the combo still works, though. Its damn slow. Turn 4 for an elf deck? you could have done 20+ damage by that time.

  • terror, hand of death, demise, seal of doom, touch of death, inserction keldon warlord

  • Personally I prefer the devoted druid-quilspike combo with soul's fire or soul's grace

    for infinite

  • well, you could splash red, and use elvish archdruid to banefire for like a billion.

  • maelstrom pulse, uh oh

  • Counter spell....uh oh

  • Woops, meant joraga treespeaker there in the earlier comment.

  • I almost stopped watching the second time you referred to green mana as a forest. dur

Blahblah everything said about how you're wrong about stuff, though the combo still works. Now I'm going to be oh-so-smart-and-original and say your llanowar elf dies to lightning bolt and the other guy will always wrath you, because like we all know everyone always plays wrath on turn 4 and every deck runs 12 lightning bolts.

With joraga warcaller and rite of consumption this combo wins on turn 3.

  • this does not work like you think it does. it still works, but not how you are explaining it. having +1/+1 and having a +1/+1 counter are completely different. coat of arms does not give counters, but it keeps devoted druid alive because of the elves you re making with presence of gond. you keep stacking -1/-1 counters on her, and those counters are not removed by coat of arms but are effectively nullified by coat of arms. the druid will never have the same buff as the rest of the elves.

  • but then again, the druids buff is irrelevant.

  • even if this was a legal combo wouldn't you take a giant manna burn and die when you ended turn? im kinda new so i would appreciate a response :)

  • @angelobuoni1 no b/c hes tapping for the enchantment to bring out the tokens not for the mana... hope i helped

  • @angelobuoni1 there is no such thing as mana burn in the current MtG rules in the first place.

  • priest of titania+imperious perfect+intruder alarm+well wisher=inf life, inf mana, inf creatures, inf damage, toss in a staff of domination and play your entire deck

  • Coat of Arms gives creatures +1/+1 for each other creature on the battlefield that shares its creature type. They're not +1/+1 counters. Easily disruptable with burn effects and wrath effects. Playing against a forestwalk or flying deck won't effect this deck too much since it'll be pumping out too many elves for them to deal with.

  • its not +42/+42, its +41/+41

  • i have a inf combo :3 a bit more dangerous :P have 5 elf in play, where 1 of them is an archdruid or priest(think it was the priest who gave 1 Green mana for each elf IN PLAY) then, you have staff of domination out, and making it use 3 mana and tap, to untap another creature, then 1 mana to untap itself... now you have 1 floating mana, so its all about repeating this prossess... then use its other nasty effects :3

  • It's a card called shock big hole in your plan

  • Your opponents turn he/ she plays wrath of god and you lose

  • @miikka26889

luckily elves are easy to bring out once wrath or day of judgement is played he has enough mana to bring out 2-3 creatures

  • This combo is not accurate.. coat of arms doesnt apply the +1/+1 counter on the druid.... she gets the bonus from the coat of arms. Every time you make and elf. she gains +1/+1 ,not a counter. so you still put the -1/-1 on the druid.

  • @Bongie87

your combo still works, danpence just pointed out the counter issue. :)

  • Coat of arms dont make counters its static not pernament

  • when hes done all your creatures are gone :D

  • it's +1/+1 because there are only 2 elves on the field.

  • what do u do if ur opponent destroys devoted druid

  • what will u do with all that tokens?

    lol

  • or tap the elf to add a 1/1 token. i prefer to add mana until i can securely nail the opponent. not a bad combo for a turn 2 win :)

  • ... in explanation. the insect has the following ability, remove a -1/-1 counter from target creature, gives insect +3/+3 until end of turn. tap the elf to add one mana, untap it, give it a -1/-1 counter. remove the counter with the insect to give the insect +3/+3 until end of turn. repeat until you piss your pants.

  • my bad, local artifact ability, i can't think of the g/b(pay either BBB or GGG) insect's name for the likes of me, but it is also in the same set as the elf. look it up, it's a nice add X mana(infinite) and gives the insect +x/+x (3xinfinite). good combination for rite of consumption(?? name?? 4BB as an additional cost to play this spell sac a creature, target player loses life equal to the creatures power and you gain that much life.... Insta kill :D )

  • ugh.... negative. first off coat of arms is a local enchantment, not putting "infinite replenishing" counters on your creatures. look into the black/green insect that removes -1/-1 counters from target creature, that is how you will achieve you're infinite elves combo

  • alright dude your a fool. first of all your coat of arms doesn't give +2/+2 its only +1/+1. second of all..wat are u gonna do when i ping your llanowar with my lightning bolt?

  • @gretsch750 you fool it makes his llanowar elf a 2/2 what happens when i play my pariah on my stuffy doll hmm then i take no damage what so ever especially when i make my pariah indestructible.

Oh and my sky hussar with kiki jiki mirror breaker hmm infinite amount of 5/4 flying?

  • @mrnotsoemo both your combos are slower than even the slowest elf combos. Just thought I'd point it out...

  • @gretsch750 No you idiot, they get +2/+2 it is a +1/+1 for each creature that shares a type. I.E.: Two elves= two 1/1 pumps.

  • no one leaves mana elvs in play

  • WRATH OF GOD LOL

  • SQUIRRELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thats y u run more then one of each card... plus they do make green counter cards

  • this combo doesnt work?

  • She doesn't get a plus counter with coat of arms, it just makes it bigger

but this is very vunerable to a few things...like umm....Malestrom Pulse

    Damnation

    Day of Judgement

    or

    Wrath of God

    or if they're stupid

    Mogg infestation

so...yea...this combo is pretty weak, sorry to say

  • all creature combos are vulnerable to day, damn, wrath. some are vulnerable to pulse. It doesn't mean its a weak deck. It's insanely powerful

btw, you left out volcanic fallout...unless they have coat of arms xD

  • i didn't say it was a weak deck, im just saying there should be a little more thought into putting this into a deck...since its mono green, there is no counterspells (until the new set comes out) so im saying that he needs to think of other ways to help this out...play it in a G/U elf deck...which wouldn't go over that well...but..that's up for debate...i geuss elf and merfolk can go together...but like...all decks have weaknesses....im not saying this combo isn't powerful...it is, but isn't

  • All combo are vulnerable, if you cast a counterspell your combo is useless.

    You're just an idiot

  • You could also use a Quillspike, Devoted Druid, Flourishing Defenses (and something which gives Quillspike Trample, but i's not necessary

  • Combo is well enough, but your presentation of it wasn't very good Im afraid

  • RAWR!!!! TURN 4 DAY OF JUDGEMENT

  • omfg

u can have infine lifepoints / creatures or what ever in better decks in first round !

use squirrels ! they fuck everything !

  • 4th turn? okay.

what if I play wrath of God?

what if they like to play with flying creatures?

  • @semiideath The wrath of God response would be to play Caller of the Claw:) Honestly squirrel nest and earthcraft are much better and can go of on turn 3.

  • plus heedless one ^.^

  • this combo ^ ^ ^ plus wellwisher plus channel plus fireball XD

  • Quilspike and devoted druid there ya go

  • You have the right idea, but you're wrong.

Coat of Arms does NOT add counters, it's a static buff. It will still work, but you are NOT "removing a counter", you are simply adding another -1/-1 counter.

Also, Llanowar Elves does NOT "tap for a forest", it taps for a green mana. Green mana is produced by forests, and various other cards, but it is not called "Forests".

  • wow stickler for proper-ness much but true it needed to be said

  • Card Text of Coat of Arms reads: Each creature gets +1/+1 for each other creature in play of the same creature type (For example, if there are three Goblins in play, each of them gets +2/+2.) Well here is a good question... Where is the word "counter" in Coat of Arms Card Text?

  • Best white combo ever: Ajani Goldmane + Wall of Reverence = 800 life in 7 turns

  • intruder alarm, presence of gond equals infinite creatures. but my elf deck has the runed stalacite, seeker of skybreak, judge of currents infinite life combo. this combo is pretty nefty also

  • ok one more question. if i put "Asha's Favor" enchantment into play that gives target creature vigalence and then tap a creature that gives mana with "Presence of Gond" attached would i be able to untap it then tap over and over, until i get like 100 tokens. because of vigalence.

  • To your first question about protection from green: No, a creature can't block more than 1 attacker, multiple creatures can block 1 attacker though.

To your second: No, vigilance means he doesn't tap when he attacks, he would still have to tap to use his activated ability.

  • no vigilance is only atacking

  • I am new to playing magic, so im not sure but wouldn't a monster that says protection from green be able to block every single creature you attack with. i would like to know please.

  • Comment removed

  • Coat of Arms gives a bonus for each "OTHER" creature sharing a creature type. So instead of +2/+2 at the beginning, it should have been +1/+1. The combo still works though, and is very creative. I like it 5/5

  • Engineered plague Wrecks that combo.

  • It wouldn't work since it aint standard. It'll be replaced with a basic land instead. GO MY UNSTOPPABLE PLAINS. DESTROY DESTROY DESTROY!!

  • sweet combo
