This is Nainital - such beautiful location; so many old films and songs were filmed there. It is a pity modern filmmakers overlook the beautiful locales in India and spend large volumes of money to film in locations abroad.
She is in Mumbai. She was last seen in Delhi-6 in 2009. Her husband died in 2000, She has always been in India, not Canada, as remarked by someone. She is often seen live in TV shows.
none can match SAHIR .he was just the best in any song he wrote .he wove his words so dreamily in this song that all the feelings have come alive .and music is so great too
@ravindrabot Surmayi (greyish, from surma i.e antimony used as a make up for eyes). Champai from Champa, a small golden flower. Parbaton ke pedon par shaam ka basera hai, surmayi ujala hai, champai andhera hai.
(Evening is falling on mountains, there is greyish light and golden darkness). The poet has described the evening scene just as the sun is setting over mountains).
@orientlover1 : thank you for the translation............... i was looking for it from a long time............... today i have understood the real beauty of the lines............ but not to forget............ voice is amazingly touching
The Perfect combination of Singing, lyrics, music, picturisation and of course the beutiful locales of Nainital Lake in the backdrop. Totally Nostalgic.
Beautiful song by Mohammad Rafi and Suman Kalyanpur on Kamaljeet and Waheeda Rehman; rich and meaningful lyrics by Sahir Ludhianvi and unique music composition by Khayyam have also contributed to its greatness.
a different type of orchestration by khaiyyam for film shagoon. the hero is kamaljeet and not kawaljeetsingh. he acted in film son of india also. vahida married to him.originally he is a established businessman. all the song of shagoon are gems of the indian music.
what a cool performance by great Rafi Saheb &Suman Kalyanpur, superb poetry of Sahir ji&fine composition of Khayyam ji.what a destiny maestro musician like Khayyam ji&Ravi ji are yet alive but nobody is using their vast talent of music.
No Sir! Waheeda was engaged to a muslim man from the UK who hid the truth about his marriage! But his first wife spilled the beans when she found out that her husband was going to marry Waheeda. In the resulting scandal, Waheeda cancelled the engagement. It was at this point that Kamaljeet Singh proposed to Waheeda. If Waheeda wanted to be a 2nd wife, she could have married Guru Dutt who was totally madly in love with her. But Waheeda did not want to wreck Guru Dutt's marriage to Geeta Dutt.
This is Nainital - such beautiful location; so many old films and songs were filmed there. It is a pity modern filmmakers overlook the beautiful locales in India and spend large volumes of money to film in locations abroad.
