  • I think Mummy Cass chuckled a little after Java said, "I would"

  • These guys are off the hook good.

  • This ain't funky this is what happens when you get involved into a musical genre you have no sense of history. P-funk was firmly tongue and cheek when they did their sexual come-ons and there was always some underlying political context in Funk music and this is no different than you would see in a Lil Wayne video but it's just white studio musicans playing the right licks but with none of the spirit or passion of the original funk/rock bands. I give a 8 on the sound and a 1.5 on the lyrics.

  • @TheNewsoul2

Gotta love the haters. I bet these guys sell more CDs than you do.

  • @MsLadyPoPo

yEAH I like third rate song writing and musicianship that is about as funky as a soiled tampon. T-Pain would f fit in perfectly with this third- rate attempt at Funk and R&B music. But what to do expect form Nashville country musicians SOUL !!

  • I loooooove these guys!

  • Great groove and a hell of a band!

  • I just saw these guys at Summer fest in WI They surprised the heck out of me ! I thought it was a joke at first, until they started to play. This is one tight band. I am a new fan now and I am telling everyone i know about them!

  • what the fuck i was looking for the mummies not this shit

  • @youthXattack. We're so sorry you actually stumbled across talented musicians. Good luck in your search for a gimmicky garage punk band.

  • @IndyBear92 yeah because gimmicky funk that just steals from funkadelic is just so much better

  • @youthXattack. Right, because James Brown had nothing to do with funk until George Clinton came into being. Please stop humiliating yourself further and exposing your incredible lack of musical knowledge. FYI, due to contractual obligations with various studios, the members of the band, all Grammy-winning studio musicians, asssumed the mummy gimmick so they could all play together and have fun, apparently what they are doing and loving. They didn't just say "Let's be funky mummies"

  • @IndyBear92 What does James Brown have to do with my comment? these guys clearly bite on funkadelic. just because i like garage rock doesn't mean I don't listen to funk. i listen to more funk and soul music than any other genre and frankly i believe i know enough about it to make MY DECISION that this isn't good. And i didn't say they were bad musicians they are technically proficient but that doesn't mean they have soul. they stole an image and a sound. thumbs down

  • Because James Brown is the Godfather of Soul? Mr. Please, Please, Please? The one who put everything together before The Mothership even came into being? Without JB there would never have been a Bootsy Collins to lay down a quarter of the bass riffs George Clinton's music contains. That is why JB is relevent to your comment. I'm not dogging your decision, but to come in and say, "what the fuck i was looking for the mummies not this shit" could have been kept to yourself.

  • @youthXattack .... FYI try searching "The Mummies Punk Band" it may prove fruitful and spare us your outstanding insight.

  • Waka Waka Waka!!

  • As musicians, these guys are amazingly talented. They almost don't need the mummies costumes. But, it adds to the spectacle. They deserve more recognition. Love 'em!

  • @MrJtr1888 They are all professional musicians living in Nashville. There is rumored to be several Grammys among the band. They have to hide their ID because they have contract conflicts that prevents them from doing this publicly....hence the costumes and lack of recognition.

  • @operator0 Yeah, i just recently found that out. i think on Wiki. Saw them live two weeks ago. made me like them even more.

  • 2 ppl don't know good music when they hear it

  • going to the house of blues chicago tonight to see this incrediable band. should be a great show.
