I PLAYED THIS ONE IN PASADENA CA EARLY 80 'S I GOT GOOD I HAD PEOPLE STANDING AROUND WATCHING I WAS IN MY MID 30'S AT THIME LOVE TO FIND A MACHINE TO PLAY ON AGAIN FLASH
im actually looking for oscar. you know, the robot dude who shot grenades and missiles and had a big ass gun. i wont deny i played this and some car game though. you know, the one where you shoot stuff and run over things, and in the end you go up against armored trucks, just like knight rider did. strange how 5 years can make pitfall old
I used to sneak into the arcades in the malls and play this game back in 1985. I was a young child, but didn't know better. But, I loved the game when I was a little tike.
I played this along with dozens of other Golden Age video games in the arcades of the Las Vegas Strip hotels after I moved here in 1982. My three favorite arcades were the ones in Circus Circus (obviously -- it was HUGE!), the El Rancho, and the Dunes. There was also a great indie arcade I learned about years later and spent lots of time in until it died in the late 90s.
Boy do I ever wax nostalgic for these games in their actual cabinets. Way better than emulators but at least we have them.
This game and Gyruss were my all time favorites... we had an arcade nearby that gave 9 tokens for a dollar, and they had both games in there, I would spend a ton of time on them...
Concept and gameplay are absolutely awesome!! This would have been my favorite game in arcades if I had ever found it. Not sure I understand the significance of building a bridge of primitive see-saws over a patch of red mushrooms tho.
A fucking classic. It's one of the reasons I perfer the games of yesteryear to the games of today (there are some exceptions). They have more depth, and better gameplay. Fuck graphics. Graphics are cool and everything, but I always say gameplay > graphics
This is the greatest game even, I have yet to master a game as I did the Hollow. Eventually, you end up on a tiny piece of land and have a long bridge to make....hand me a kleenex please, I miss the Hollow so..
Without the name Satan this game would have bombed. Naming it Satan's Hollow made it darkly mysterious. Plus religious parents didnt want their kids to play a game called Satans Hollow so of course they wanted to play it.

If it's the arcade version download mame ui32 and then just google Mame roms or you can download a c64 emulator or whatnot and play the home version

Oddly lame overall. They did a good job on the scenery and the diving demons stage, but "Satan" himself is extremely anticlimactic.
