FUCK EMI MUSIC!!! THEY BLOCKED THE OFICIAL VIDEO OF THIS SONG FROM BEING WATCHED IN MY COUNTRY!! FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK EMIII MUSIIIIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCC!!!
again what;s up with the harmonica. Maybe they're confused about which song they're singing. There is a song a with a short little harp part in it but, I can't remember which one.
I think these ladies don't play the 80's songs full throttle because they'd rather play them how they would have written them.. wilsonesque, not 80s. They are just staying true to themselves..personally I like how they always switch things up and never keep things ordinary and predictable...they are awesome.
There is this big press-induced misconception about none of the hits from the "Heart" album being written by the band. Well, "Never" was co-written by Ann and Nancy, and it's certainly one of their most uplifting song. It's a classic, and it was about time that they put it back in ! Their 80s stufff is AMAZING and SO UNDERRATED, but I love those recordings ! Not to put down their 70s catalogue, but the songs they did between 1985 and 1990 are flawless. Love this version too !
This is actually one of the few singles form the '80's that Ann and Nancy Wilson did co-write (and it was written with their friend Holly Knight, not a random hired songwriter). Could explain why this one has made it back into the setlist and songs like "What About Love" and "Who Will You Run To" haven't.
Yes, I know... they didn't right 79% of their 80's songs, so I understand why they don't feel like playing them anymore. Even though my favorite Heart "era" is the 70's, the 80's were so much fun...
In any case, I hope they plug the electrics back in soon. The Wilsons might have liked to bury their 80s era material. There was a lot of personal pain for them then, but musically, they were at their best. Ann had one of the most powerful voices in rock, and it demanded soaring guitar leads and bass-heavy analog synths.
In any case, going acoustic is cheaper and for the fans it can be a more intimate experience.
Going acoustic is cheaper? How? The guitars they play in a supposed "acoustic" gig are actually electro-acoustic. They are still plugged in and mixed, so the cost is exactly the same.
The ignorance of the general public never ceases to amaze me.

Don't be such a dick. I'm not general public, I'm a musician with big tour experience, and I know a lot about the cost drivers in this business. "Electro-acoustic" is just hair-splitting. Read within the context of my 10 month old comment to understand my point that smaller sets, fewer gear, less stage show, and smaller venue == lower costs. Heart is a real rock band. If they could afford big '80s style concert, they would.

Yes, it's a great song but it loses a certain quality w/o the full guitar sound, doesn't it?
