Well, im an inch taller than you and the pack works fine. It is adjustable also. I wish I would of got an operator instead, it will hold alot more, but then again alot heavier. The pack weighs 10lbs empty. It will easily hold the rifles you mentioned. I dont think the scabbard is removable on the operator though. Hope this helps.
hi, i'm thinkin about buyin this pack for similar reasons. at 5'7", i'm not exactly tall ( i'm 14 so give me a break) would this pack fit reasonably or would it just be too huge? also, how much gun do you think i could get in here? do you think it could carry an 11 lb. SASR and an ar15? please get back to me, because i am stuck between this and the larger g4 operator pack. tnx
Really good series of vids, thanks very much for them.
It would be great if you could show how you would have this pack with everything loaded - sleeping bags, tents etc and then what you would use to strap on the meat of your kill - whether a 'meat bag' or a quarter bag and where they would go.
@ThumbsUP8808 Thanks for your comment. I wouldnt strap the meat to the pack. I would build a sled of sorts and just drag it down the mountain, get it home as quick as possible. Thanks for watching.
i have an eberlestock too, and i think your supposed to put them in barrel first. that way you can access the rifle while the pack is still on. great video.
@Chcogozpiano Yes, you can put them in either way. Im not flexible enough to get my rifle out when the pack is on anyways. You should do a video on how you pull your rifle out, and post it as a vid response. Any hoot, thanks for your comment and for watching.
@SenseiTucker Thanks for watching, the company that makes the packs had there warehouse burn down, so they may be a little scarce for a short while. Great packs though.
depends on how fit you are on how much your bug out bag should wight. I am used to carrying around 90 pounds of gear so my bug out bag wights around 86 Lbs that's molle with plates bag and ammo gun's food and other things..
This setup weighed about 65lbs with no gun or ammo. If I had a long haul up hill it would definately have to be lighter or if I had to pack a gun and ammo. Alot of this gear I only took to do field testing on.
yea if you put a sleeping bag or pad on the bottom you'd never see the gun very cool!! i converted one of my guitar cases to hold rifles but that pack is far more useful and practical!!!
Nice series. I watched them all so far and you have some of the most "top of the line" equipment. The only thing I can think of is shelter items, tarp, bivy bag or something. 5/5
Bought their battleship bag and I love it. Easy to attach rifle on the side.

Really good vids, lost of good information. If you don't have it you might add a whistle. Just in case you need to attract help should you need too.
