This is a very nice track. It reminds me a bit of "Freedom Deep" from Full Moon, Dirty Hearts or "Afterglow" from Switch. I hope INXS decides to release a new album.

I`m a huge Inxs fan but this does not represent Inxs. I actually like the song. It`s damn good but it doesn`t capitalize on Inxs` trademark sound. Now it does capitalize on Morrissey`s sound. See "Vauxhall And I". As a devout follower of Inxs I will always be curious or fascinated to see how the band will continue without Hutchence. Yet realistically I know they will never be the same. Don`t get me wrong this song is good but not Inxs. They should do like Joy Division did and change the name.

I attended INXS concert not knowing what to expect,

when it ended I was BLOWN AWAY at how incredible that gig was ,

last saw INXS in 93 to me this was better ,this song live is better than this version ,

i am a big INXS fan from the 80s ,to me Michael will always be the best lead singer for INXS but Ciaran is himself ,he is amazing ,never liked JD as the lead singer of INXS, to me he tried to be like Michael thats my opinion on INXS !

I've seen the videos on YouTube of this guy performing... can sing but a bit of a bore - kind of like this song. I'll wait to hear the new stuff before I place judgement, but something tells me it's going to be a bit too sappy for me if this is the direction they are going.

garridoxsman - Pay attention to what INXS fans are saying and you will soon discover they think Ciaran is a nice guy, a song writer, and musician. But, he isn't a lead singer. He has very weak stage presence which is why they suddenly need all of the backup singers. In fact most of the vocals for suicide blonde are sung by Ashley. He isn't going anywhere and INXS will dump him very soon.

@ZamnDamn ----The passion left with Michael Hutchence. He put the passion in INXS -with his great vocals (that is why he is impossible to replace). Michael was, is and always will be the voice of INXS.

Each time they put out this crap they destroy what Michael and the original band members worked so hard to create. I really thought they were going to get it right this time... but they continue to make bad desisions and ruin there legacy in the process!

Ciaran, this isn't your fault. INXS or as I would rather call them the Three Brothers and Chris Murphy put you in this position. You are doing your best to make this work. But no matter what you do the honest truth is you are not cut out to be a lead singer.

The remaining members of INXS keep trying to replace MIchael. As an INXS fan I am offended by this new direction you are taking. This song is soft and pretty but ! INXS needs to understand we want the type of music you do that is unique,sexy, and exciting. This isn't at all INXS. Think it's a sound tune ,i know he doesnt sound like hutch ,but would you really want that? I don't get the whole it dont sound like inxs thing tho, if you listen to wishy washy then strange desire they sound totally different even the vocal style are in no way similar . This song is quite tolerable, as long as I pretend I'm listening to a different band and put the fact it's an INXS song out of my mind. This is not the INXS we know and love.

Though the song isn't my taste, the vocalist is pretty good but probably not as edgy as Michael Hutchence or JD Fortune. He does sound like Morrissey to me, especially on the chorus.

@MovieMad007 I agree with you, perhaps this new singer needs some more time, and I hope he can do it well. But I am not focusing on Ciaran exclusively, I didn´t mention him. I´m only saying that this new production has got a completely diferent musical style, not bad, as I told before, although this is something new. Lets wait for the other new songs with this guy, and we´ll see.

@frs2112 --I just have NO idea what is going on with the original members of (let's call it like it is) XINXS. They are just way out there somewhere! They were the ones who decided not to change their name, so I do not know after all these years how they could be so far off base with continuing this band. Apparently they forgot who their true fans are and why we liked their music in the first place. Lets face it Inxs is not and has not been making any new fans since Michael died.

I was NOT impressed... actually disappointed is more like it. I would want to hear more because I did not like the song and it sure doesn't reflect the "INXS Sound". So far I would say they went from bad (w/JD) to worse (with this guy). They have stuck with their unique sound all these years... I believe it would be a bad decision to change it now along with replacing a new singer -ease into it guys!

@Diddlydewdrop --I must admit I was a bit excited to hear of a new singer for Inxs. I should have learned my lesson after the disappointment of JD & the utter shock of Inxs re-doing their classic songs- Michael's legacy with the band on the crappy Original Sin CD... but once again I had some hope. I gotta say the hope is officially gone! I do not like this song and as far as replacement for JD as lead singer... I hate this guy's vocal! Inxs is just way out there now & no longer INXS!

@Diddlydewdrop ---I forgot I agree with you entirely! I wasn't able to get through the entire song without muting it so I could type this response. It looks like we are not alone. I am just one of those people who like a good vocal in a lead singer. That is why I loved the original Inxs -Michael was a master of vocal talent! Inxs is too good of a band to not be fronted with a lead singer who has a good vocal. I never thought I would like JD but I am begining to?

Good song, great vocals, but don't call urself INXS, with J.D Fortune you could still get away with it (the name INXS). New sound, different type of vocals, call Urself by a different name. Sounds to much like an early Bono or even Echo and the Bunnymen. As stated good song, but I don't associate it with INXS.
