I notice we have a couple of "glass half empty" types in the group who always find something to criticize instead of focusing on the good stuff...AND if you already know it all why are you even wasting your time?? Get a life!
I am actually re-watching this and the social bookmarking and a few others for the second and third time. So much great help and talk about giving love, you guys are the best ED! Much gratitude to you all.
No listen closely, he tells his daughter to go to bed and says its 4 am (around 1:00-1:30 minutes into it). Who is working at 4 AM if they are in this business?
Also Australia is 18 hours ahead, not 2 days.
All this stuff is easy intro stuff. Getting in Google is easy, getting on page 1 is the difficult part.
Thank you for the analogy. I'm glad you let me into Club TDC. I hear it's the hippist place to be this season. Paris, Brittany, Linsey, eat your hearts out!
The analogy of how getting into Google is like getting into a popular club is right on target. How you look, who you hang with, how popular your friends are, it all makes sense. But on top of that, it's exactly the way that site popularity (and ultimately search engine traffic) is created. Don't just watch this. Take notes on how you can apply it right now.
If you had followed the TDC you would realise that he is talking about a page 1 google listing. He comments that it is 4am for Dan. Dan is UK based. Anyway plenty people work at 4am if they have global partners. That is the beauty of the business. No set work pattern.
Great as always Ed. Good analogies to help get the point across and build your explanation. This is "reality" internet marketing, hey the distractions and stuff going off in the background show us we can do this in our home too. Hey that's awsome!
Fabulous... thanks Ed. What a pity that we In South Africa have to spend so much time waiting for downloads, even when we are "nominally" on broadband. This video took 3 hours to download!!
35 min, really? why?

the club analogy isn't on target becaue the club is seletcive and google will index all sites at some point.

Excellent video. The majority of the information I already knew, but it was good to have it explained in such a great way.
