  • Having had a grandfather with alzheimer's disease, I felt terrible for Junior in the last few seasons where he clearly had memory problems that Tony and many other characters were ignorant of/unsympathetic to. Tony always acting like a goddamn hothouse flower and all.

  • Without a doubt one of the greatest scenes of the series. It perfectly concludes the series' insight into Tonys mob life - the final message ? Tony poignantly realises that it will all come to an end , doesnt matter that you even "ran north jersey" .. life (and fate) will ultimately bring them down in destructive and painful ways.

  • This & the other scene with Tony & Junior where Tony asks him "Don't you love me" --Great scenes!!!!

  • Its a fact of life when something sad like this happens. You loose your identity, personality, and your itegrity.Believe me it could be you when your older so dont joke.People who laugh at this today might not be laughing tommorow.

  • Amazing Acting.

  • Why is oldie like that

  • am i the only one who thinks junior's faking?

  • Magoo deserved to be in a fucked up place like that..he was a dickhead most of the time..

  • @bodleladle

Not any worse than most of his companions.

  • Awesome acting by both james & Dominic.....epic!

  • I think Tony feels for Junior so much because he know this is where he is headed

he only has three options: crazy, dead, or in jail

  • this shoulda been the final scene !! incredible !!

  • That look at 0:40 -0:43 says it all.

    He remembers,.......he remembers it all.

  • @brightlights456X yes, he is purposely doing this to stay in a psych ward....HE HAS ALZHEIMERS...look it up, learn something new.

  • @JCbanks71

    Eeeerrrrrr, it's a tv show.....dickehead:/

  • I always thought Junior looked like Mr. Magoo

  • I think Tony finally realized that he should let go of the grudge he held against Junior for shooting him. I do believe that Tony felt bad for junior after he shot him. An emotional scene in my opinion.

  • LOL, Tony wants to fuck up the black orderly at the start.

Anyway, Junior's just fucking with him IMO.

  • it's fuckin great scene. James Gandolfini is god damn good actor. i mean 2:42, the look on his face is so like true. like a real fuckin life.

  • If his accountant is Jewish it could seem like he is from another Galaxy.

  • Junior = "A mulinjan stole my gabagoo."

  • @revolutionarymerdo No shit dude.

  • omgsh! i cried...again evrytym i watch ths..

  • Funny how one line, "this thing of ours", is also one of the best scenes in the series

  • Touching scene.. so sad. I hope i never have to experience anything like this with my parents or a aunt or uncle. Must be horrible feeling.

  • Man that tear in tonys eye gets me everytime

  • After Junior says 'oh thats nice' it cuts to tony's face before he gets up. I can't tell if it's the lighting reflecting of his eyes, or tony is slightly teary eyed from seeing Junior like this. Which is it?

  • @hamidodangeh yeh hes tearing up , this is his uncle a man who hes known his whole life and hates to see how bad junoirs health is getting.

  • "This thing of ours."

  • the sopranos focuses on the harsh reality of life. no miracles, no epic fights, just what life really is.

  • Junior is like butthead:)))))

  • Why did "Junior" ruin his relationship with Tony?

  • @MegaJim79 Junior are old, he can't remeber things anymore. His brain are dead after all these years.

  • @MegaJim79

Cunnilingus and psychiatry brought them to this.

  • SO HEARTBREAKING I can't take it!

  • Sad scene. Junior was so damn sharp in the earlier seasons...

  • having junior go mental was such a total waste of an awesome character.

  • James Gandolfini is one the greatest actors ever.

  • That green tint? ITS THE MATRIX

  • this scene hits home...my mother has alzhimers...that look that he gives tony...is the same look my mother gives me...it hurts...

  • @darrylhaynes

Don't give up brother, don't. Mum is mum, that's what we say here in Italy. Much respect to you for taking care of her, much much respect. Sorry for my bad english.

  • Junior was fakin it. When he said "what the fuck you want a boutinier" he was giving Tony just enough of a sign to let him know he was still all there, without giving himself up.

  • @netefrog

lol, was it not 'a boot in the ear' ?

  • @JacknifeSoprano92 a bootineer its a decorative flower that old italian men wore in their hats

  • @Joefonzgoldenarms lol i thought he meant, "do you want a boot in the ear?".

  • @fushion999 yea im lucky i have an itallian mother who grew up in brooklyn, her father was alot like junior not running north jersey of course

  • @netefrog

He started off faking it, but he clearly wasn't all there in this scene. Junior is the kind of man who wouldn't let someone else tell him his own accomplishments - especially in such a patronising way.

  • This scene was really sad, especially for a die hard fan like myself.

Junior was always witty as hell and tough as nails, it was sad to see him deteriorated like this, it even almost moved Tony to tears.

  • yeah Junior was one of the last remaining old school members of the DiMeo-Soprano family, an Old Generation Mafiosi, one that actually can speak Italian.

  • you two fags argue like your married or something

  • Best scene in the entire series.

  • James Gandolfini absolutely nailed the end of this scene. I love Tony's very brief expression of empathy and grief, and how it soon gives way to a building anxiety that precipitates his quick exit from the room.

  • Absolutely. Gandolfini really played this part perfectly throughout the series.

  • great analysis digitalcubano

  • Watch TVShows like The Sopranos - Tony's Last Scene with Junior at W W W . TV-Vide . NET

  • this is one of the best scenes of this whole series. amazing.

  • more proof why the sopranos is 2nd to none

  • 'we used to play catch'

    - power has been thrown back and forth between tony and junior

  • Its always sad to see someone you look up to suddenly disintegrate into nothing with no memory of who you are or what you've been through together. The way our body's turn on us in our old age isn't fair but that's life.

  • you sound like tony's psychiatry.

    but u right

  • J Rilla.......Shut up.

  • @Dulazzio

YOU SHUT UP OR I'LL BURN YOU TO DEATH WITH GASOLINE I HAVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH TO POST WHERE EVER THE FUCK I WANT!!!!! I'LL SENT YOUR SOUL TO PURGATORY WHEN I LIT A MATCH ON YOUR BODY WITH GASONLIE POURED ALL OVER YOU

  • malade

  • we used to play catch

  • Great Scene!!!

  • briliant scene very sad

  • one of the greatest scenes from the show.

  • absolutely absolutely.

  • I love that Junior thinks his accountant is "a man from another Galaxy."

  • @StarKrazzo

it is because his accountant speaks thru a voice box

  • Junior could be such an old prick, but I felt sorry for him in this scene.

  • Exscuse me, can you help me? what do tony say at 2:12? Thanks!

  • ~~"this thing of ours.." a.k.a Cosa Nostra

  • ok cool

  • "La Cosa Nostra" is an Italian term for The Mafia. It translates to "This Thing of Ours" in English.

  • i knew this years ago why you telling me haha

  • one of the saddest scenes on television if u followed junior through the whole series

  • @SnipZYoDownz yes i did was so sad to see how junior ended up in a terrible state

  • poor junior. he was always so good

  • To: Corrado Soprano: "When your dancing and laughing and finally living, hear my voice in your head and think of me kindly"....Tony

  • How come your quoting 'The Smiths'?

  • I love when he says, "Fuck you want? A Boutonniere?"

It's the last time we see any remnant of the old Junior. Plus, it shows that even though he's lost his memories and he's losing his brain, he's still Corrado.

  • Amazingly moving. So sad.

  • He takes meds so he wont piss his pants and stuff. But the meds cause him to lose his memory and sanity. Without the meds his memory is perfect. He knows this but chose the meds anyway, because not having control of your bladder is considered taboo and embarrasing, if your old school like Junior is. Thats why he chose insanity.

  • its sad and funny at the same time.

  • You could say that about the entire show

  • It is one of the show's greatest scenes. You can hear the synapses in Junior's head misfiring. So well done.

  • " I'm like an old man.. with no friends or family.. trying to clinch what he got left of his sanity"

    ^^ joe budden

  • what the heck is wrong with him its like he doesnt remember a thing

  • you idiot i was talking about what happened to uncle junior he seems to not remember who tony is or anything else wise ass

  • wow...I'm an idiot AND a wise ass. you are precious.

  • If Chase thought this far ahead, I wonder if this is actually how he imagined Tony's last scene with Livia. I've read in interviews that certain storylines/scenes came to him years before they happened on the show. Plus, I always had the feeling that they kept the Junior character around to fill some of the void from Livia's death. Otherwise, I think they would have killed off Junior.

  • interesting observation. I wouldn't be surprised if that was what happened.

  • you can see right before Tony gets up to leave there is a tear in his right eye. hard to believe this is the first time Tony sees Junior since all the way back in members only when junior shot him.

  • It's kind of sad. Junior had so much wealth and power, now he's nothing but a senile old bat.

  • This scene at times leaves me with a lump in my throat

  • Man it's so crazy. Junior could care less about his mob past, the birds are way more interesting to him at this point. This is probably the most important scene in the whole series. I miss this show soo much.

  • James Gandolfini what an actor - I felt touched cos Tony Soprano forgave Junior for the shooting. As long as Tony was alive Junior would be looked after

  • It's sad especially when Tony leaves.

  • SO SAD TO SEE HIM LIKE THAT

  • sad to see Junior in that condition..

  • great scene they could've ended it here

  • actually that would have worked out
