@rshull07 original telecasters were made from Pine dude. works extremely well, try the squier classic vibes tele its extremely nice and also made of pine :)
They don't mention that birdseye maple-necks are less stable, than ordinary maple. Does birdseye maple-necks sound different or are they just more nicer looking?
I love how he refers to the bridge pickup as the "lead" and the neck as the "rhythm" when most players (outside of blues and jazz) use the bridge pickup for rhythm and the neck pickup for leads.
I guess its just a traditional thing. Gibson Les Pauls have labels on their toggles that show the neck position as "rhythm" and the bridge position as "treble."
Trust me, with guitar, people love to stay with the old fashioned, which is why everybody clings to their Strats, Teles, Les Pauls, SG's, and tube amps. =P
@oscarmeyer516006 that's ridiculous. it makes no sense at all the body works with the guitar or are you one of those guys that think you can make anything sound like anything else?
I agree in theory it might not work because of the body but thats irrelevant because you didn't mention that originally... also even if it didn't quite work it would still sound closer to a strat hence my statement still makes sense.

Curious - why by a Tele that sounds like a Strat? They are different animals!

@themodernguitarist Really? Because I've never touched a guitar before or played through a tube amp. Thanks for informing me.

I'm pretty sure that no one that plays a tele wants it to sound like a strat!
