@08do07de1984 please tell me of a movie that combines emotion and intellect in such a manner that it gives the viewer a feeling of not just great excitment but also personal connection? because i have rarely seen this kind of amazing writing in hollywood
i like marion allot..my dream woman...she has such a natural beauty...so refined and sweet.absolutely lovable!she is also an inteligent woman and a very good rising actress.love you marion! :)
Marion ones said that most of her dreams are on the end of the world - i think it was on Craig Ferguson program. So that mean recreation, regeneration and changes. And all of that has came to Marion's life. It changes absolutely! After her role as Edith Piaf. Much happy Marion!!!
I never remember my dreams. :/ She's pretty (the one who was focusing on her mole needs to seek for help!) and she's a phenomenal actress. She's French pride. Her English is getting better...
I don't think the mole on her forehead has anything to do with the quality of the movie and her acting skills, which by the way both were awesome. Why would she remove that if it doesn't bother her because clearly it doesn't, if it did she would've removed it. Why is it so nessecary for actors and actresses to look picture perfect when they are just as much normal humans as the rest of the world. She should leave the mole there if she wants to because she is still AWESOME! :)
@90mv Yes, she is great actress and because of that her roles are very natural and real. Her character in "Inception" Mal is really scarry - I agreed with you but Marion is very humble and lovely person. I think she is the best actress ever!
What makes the film so unique? The fact that Marion Cotillard hasn't removed the mole on her forehead. Watching the film, I recall thinking, "Why wouldn't she have that removed?" and "Why would such an actress be cast in a lead role with a ridiculous mole right in the middle of her forehead?" and "Why is Leonardo's character so in love with with that mole--I mean woman?" and "Why didn't Leo use inception to cause his wife to remove her mole rather than kill herself?"
@Crust218 it looks like you have some "mole" issues. You should check that out ...
I personally think that judging the quality of an actress by the moles in her face is brave. Kinda weird, but brave. What do you think about Cindy 'look at my huge mole near my lips' Crawford by the way?
@beetlejuicels She can certainly act. No argument there. There are some places on the face where a mole is unattractive. This comes from various associations with witches, hags, ogres, etc. Moles on the forehead, nose, and chin are unacceptable. However, people like Cindy Crawford, Angelina Jolie, Julia Roberts, Marilyn Monroe, and various others have established that moles on the edge of the mouth, the cheek, or even near the eyes can be attractive.
@Crust218 agreed (about the act part) . I have two confessions to make about this : I never noticed her mole before, and I dont really like Cindy Crawford... that mole on here completly throws me off .
@bonchatbonrat Thanks for paying so much attention to me! It allows me to forget about the mound of disfigured pigment attached to Marion's forehead, staring at me like some pulsating, cancerous, semi-sentient growth, making Leo wonder, "How can anyone find a tiny ball of shit permanently stuck to a person's face attractive or that it has anything to do with film appreciation?" Your comments act as a needed distraction, so thank you from everyone who comes to watch this video.
... I really hate this habit in the movie industry to "over-praise" actresses that merely shaved their eyebrows or put on make-up that make them look ugly (like for Kidman in "the Hours", certainly not her best performance though SHE is a great actress). Anyway, many people here think her success in "La môme" was completely over-rated...
It does not mean she is not smart and big-hearted though, which she is. Ok she is a nice woman and she is beautiful but why make such a fuss about it?
I don't know if it's the "frenchy" effect abroad that makes her so adored by everyone but here in France she is not considered a really good actress. I mean lots of people saw her winning awards as a pretence to be chauvinistic but really, Marion Cotillard a good actress? Come on, stop the hoax... She was kind of good in some parts, such as in "Big Fish" or playing zesty girls in "Jeux d'enfants" for instance but certainly not in "La môme" playing Piaf...
@goodpansy hollywood has always had its token french actress and actors. every 7 years they use only one.first juliette binoche, then marion cottillard. Olivier martinez was only introduced when hollywood was done with jean reno. its only ONE at a time. she is alright but they are just after the frenchtitude.
I've seen some of her movies, but yesterday when I saw Inception she scarred me like hell xD Who could have told that she was the same actress who played submissive and sweet Luisa Contini? She's such a good actress, my #1 female crush =D
Man, when she was in the hotel room when Ellen Page went down there??? And when she first walks in on Leonardo and her, and she turns and GLARES?? I nearly crapped my pants! She played such an emotionally complex character who I adored and feared at the same time!
She was so fantastic. Quite possibly the best character in the movie. So complex and beautiful and tragic and even a bit frightening. I think she deserves some sort of an award.
What Christopher Nolan did with the love story in the movie was AMAZING!! I mean think of it the movie was great as a smart thrilling action flick with a NON-cheesy love story smack in the middle. He did an Amazing job with that.
I disagree. If you have one genre film considered unique for 3 reasons and another film considered unique in a completely different genre for 5 reasons, surely one is more unique than another? It might not be possible to find degrees of uniqueness within a set, but what about across lots of sets?
@FOOZ3R Ok but i don't think it's funny because the america and the france try to ameliorate their relations so please don't post comments like this ...

@Crust218 You're just ignorant of other cultures. Mole in the center of forehead is considered a mark of natural beauty in India.

@iOnlySignIn Sorry about that. It's society's fault, not mine. ;-)
