Im german, and in the german dub of episode I the Neimoidian Trade Federation guys speak with a strong french accent? WTF is wrong with this world?

He possibly could be based upon the mad Scientist archetype from old sci-fi movies and cartoons. They often had German accents. Many of these were even before World War II

I think they can all be traced back to Baron Victor Von Frankenstein in the original Frankenstein Novel. Which was the first of the "Mad Scientist" genre
