  • so passionate.....

we scorch the earth, set fire to the sky....

  • Thank You BadLtSalmon...I forgot how great Joshua Tree really is.

  • BULLET THE BLUE SKY

  • even if U2 are Irish, The Joshua Tree is the most American album I ever heard, and I'm not an American

  • @mircea1910 well, that explains it...you won't find an American band that sounds like this

  • this song is hands down one of the most emotional songs ever written . The guy who talks about bands.. what about bowie? what about the smiths? OH well ... PInk floyd too. People who like good music know who the best artists are . IMHO the smiths are the best band of the 80´s and the beatles the greatest ever , and as for U2 they belogn in the list for the best bands too.

  • Not one of their most famous songs but it's one of my favourites along with one and unforgettable fire

  • This song is 11. Why not just make "10" be higher? Because it's 11.

  • @WobblinGoblin1 but this one goes to 11! lol love that rockumentary

  • Their Best Album Hands Down. Top 10 Album of all time.

  • 984rtgh well I think you're right , thanks a lot .

  • Met Bonoand the band by chance here in Vancouver back in 90 91 ? no bigger than doorway persona just... Cool invited them to come to my night @ The Twilight Zone Bono signed my ticket the ticket that I gave to my girlfriend and said Quote "Honestly man thanks for the offer but after tonight we are on a plane tomorrow to our next gig and just want to chill after the concert but i appreciate the offer , it did not feel like the brush off...just honesty as he shook my hand. U2 fan since 81

  • best u2 song, bar none.

  • Whenever I get cynical about U2 I always come back to this album. This track is the real deal.

  • Welcome to U2

  • Easily one U2's top 5 songs, yet it sometimes becomes forgotten.

  • this is their best song of all, so haunting and terrific. my all-time favorite band, as well...sigh*

  • Best band of all time? Can't go there, there is some incredible company... But clearly the best band of past 30 years and one of the 10 greatest, most iconic of all time.

Beetles, Rolling Stones, ABBA, U2, Fleetwood Mac, Queen... Damn right U2 belongs on that list.

  • @Jaxboxing Hell yeah

  • Best U2 album ever. Best band ever. Bono is Talented for sure.

  • No comment...this song says it all for me

  • You can go a long time without hearing any song on this album, and still be able 2 sing every word. I don't care what the U2 haters say, this is probably one of the best rock albums of all time.

  • @GAdawgsfan93 U2 haters are neanderthals that simply don't have the brain equipment to feel understand

    this album.

  • Just listen to that vocal. It just drips emotion. Awesome.

  • Miittle. you are not the only one, it's a song that penetrates you and vibrate every fiver of the inner you. and it's association with the waves cycle the your body can receive and sense.

  • Reminds me of driving to Bell Mountain to go dirt biking with my Pops when I was little. We had this album on cassette cranked up in his Ford Camper Special Pickup!

  • @tav168... Behave your fukkin self. Granted, they're a great band, but not the greatest.

If U2 were a footballer, they'd be Christiano Ronaldo. But there's only one Pele... And the Beatles are Pele.

  • @angusthekat i dont think so, they maybe would be messi because Cronaldo is gay :P

  • @sacul220 how da fuck does being gay affect his amazing talent??

  • @roxfoeva it doesnt. i am just saying that they are not gay, so they couldnt be a gay player. actually i just said that because i love U2 and i fucking hate cronaldo, it made me sick when i saw that U2 was like him

  • @sacul220 oh lol ok then...

  • hmm

  • madre d dios k alucinación impresionantes stos u2 son y siempre seran + k la madre k los hizoooooooooooo

  • My all time favorite group. They started out amazing and now they have just transcended into true legend. Even bigger than the Beatles. I love everything they do and have enjoyed my teen years well up into my 40's listening to their music and anticipating what they will do next.

  • great i dont know what they re actually talking about but it s really great

  • @sheikyerbout Think it's a tribute to the UK miners and their strike of 1984-5.

  • Bono is no phoney.my * met him at a pub and was blown away by his realness.could not believe it was fucking him.if you are going to be a cunt dont bother mongs.piss off.

    our world 2011.

  • Incredible song from an incredible record. The soundtrack of my life, this record came out in my senior year in high school. My girlfriend and I would sit in this old swing chair on her parents porch listening to this during the summer of 1987. I still vividly remember those long warm nights listening to this. There are certain moments in life that really leave an impression, this song and that summer will forever be with me.

  • Great song and amazing band, unfortunately the only one left in the music scene.

  • Hands down this is the best U2 album!

  • One of the many, many great songs by the greatest band to ever walk the face of the earth!!! U2 rules!!

  • One of the best song by U2! With less than 200 000 views, we've got the true U2 fans here...

    out. I was 17

  • @zuzupetals1999 agreed ... i still have this playing in my car after all these years. whenever i need a mood booster i play this album

  • @zuzupetals1999 puts them up there? haha i'd say theyr more legendary than both those bands

  • This song makes me cry.

I WANT TO MAKE BEAUTIFUL BABIES WITH BONO'S VOICE.

    And I'm a guy.

  • One of the best, for sure...

  • My favourite u2 song, have loved it since i was very young. Great tune and guitar. WHERE ARE THE VIEWS?

  • the best band ever...

  • Take away the eternally wailing, unintelligible, pretentious Bono and it's a pretty hum-drum band too.

  • @nztramper lmao that's a pretty pretentious thing to say you fucking moron!!!

  • This is an awesome RIP Pike River miners West Coast NZ

  • I love this song!

  • *****

  • i,love,you,i,know

  • I love how U2 moves you with their music. Their not like so many other bands where every album sounds the same, and while I do like some of those bands, U2 is in a different league. Every album is different, and they still manage to produce great music.

  • @emerson24 radiohead the best band of recent times of recreating there sound from album to album and nailing it each time - a very rare thing indeed and quite refreshing the X factor drivin bollix music world we now live in

  • In my opinion the best U2 song ever

  • @jwoodin123 Exactly :)

  • @jwoodin123 Agree.

  • @jwoodin123 you got my vote on that bud definately

  • @jwoodin123 cant agree more. but it's tied up with BAD, IMHO.

  • @jwoodin123 I agree with U.

  • @jwoodin123

I completely agree! It has been my favourite U2 song forever.

  • During a bleak, unadmirable life interval. "She," left. Broke, debt, drinking as a life's necessit. Drinking remorselessly as breathing. Borrowing to drink, and engage other escapist treats. This song plays on the Dive tavern juke, taunting a Drunk. To recall a beautiful, lady from Mayo, Eire. Where one imagines life's grim, laborious ways wear. That saintly lady was Mom, and realizing her memory with this song. The drunken fun carried on longer, but it stopped, it stopped good. RPS from JC, NJ

  • @WowHolyMoly GOD BLESS YOU! That is some comment, so poetic, so ancient in form and unmistakably Irish! FUCKING GENIUS!!!!!!

  • @WowHolyMoly i feel ya man

  • I was at the concert in frankfurt, amazing live and play a great mix from all the albums.Just superb live :)

  • sweet

  • from the best album of the last 25 years

  • good music, takes me back to "A"school San Diego b4 heading back to the Fleet...

  • Chills! Total chills! Wow!

  • Thanks. I like this better wihout the video.

  • It really is underated!!! It is awesome!!!!

  • Most underrated album of all time- fto me-Lyrical and musical excellence joined together in one album start to finish- like very few have ever done in our history- still the ONLY album I literally love every song. "We're wounded by fear, injured in doubt- I can lose myself you I can't live w/o" "we scorch the earth, set fire to the sky, we steep so low- to reach so high'...America in the 80's, and America now...timeless- a painted masterpiece to be sure.

  • @neocant1 I hear what U R saying but actually the critics have totally rated this as 1 of the best albums of all times. it's some of their other work that gets slighted, like, UNforgettable Fire, October, etc.

  • This is my favorite song of ALL TIME!!! I love U2!!!

  • this album never lets me down....

  • another one excelent music from the bigest band in the world

  • simply one of their best...so deep and with haunting lyrics.....they were trying to get a Southwest of America vibe on this album...mix that with Irish angst and you get one of the best albums in history

  • @mjw9363 yeah, they did it without selling out to the record label at that time...they did what they wanted and it became a Masterpiece! wish we had that kind of effort these days!

  • fantastic song. fantastic album... memories of '87..

  • I'm still waiting.....

  • great song, such a shame he dissapeared right up his own arse

  • see, this song sums up everything that Bono no longer has. the vocal kills me, every time.

  • song with to much soul!!! always is the same result, U2 most realese a disc of no singles, probably get more money, couse you feel that this kind of songs only you haer it!!!

  • wow i always felt the same...about this song being underated

  • This, In God's Country and A Kind of Homecoming are three beautiful songs by a band on which I woudn't normally piss on if they were on fire.

  • I love hearing "Red Hill Mining Town" as a kid. Truly amazing song.

  • "Joshua Tree" surely has one of the greatest B-sides in rock history, as is evidenced by this song.

  • the best band of all-time!

  • This song excites me in a second Best way to Pride...I repeat, PRIDE....And I also like that End of The World Tune from Achtung, and I also like New Years Day, so much to choose from,

  • amazing song, U2 rarely ever played this song because of the range that bono needed for this masterpiece

  • Grande musica. banda perfeita!
