@cjthemisfit in japan they sorta are. there are variations between AR from your phones or physical models with some kind of RFID chip that keeps track of character stats, wins, loss, etc... I dunno if there's anything outside of Japan that is like that, but it's pretty neat.

@MetatroN197924 this is "Augmented Reality" the computer add virtual object over the real world image. It use cardboard square as a reference to detect the camera movements.

@MetatroN197924 This is no virtual reality, you don't need glasses. You won't see any hologram or this kind of stuff in your room. The virtual object can only be seen on screen. The pc films the scenery with a camera, identify the markers, add the virtual object to the scene and display it on screen. Now, maybe you can manufacture googles with a camera and screens embeded into it; and you will see the tank without looking at your pc

I think Sony's really messing up as far as tech like this goes. They have things like eyepet and Eye of Judgment , which proves the PS3 can do a more than decent job with AR, yet I feel that by focusing on Move, general interest is going to be killed.

its not a program. its a toolkit to make your own programs. u need to know like C+ programing to do anything advanced like in this video . look for artag which has sum simple demo exe's u can run and all u need to do is print out the patterns.
