  • Scripture in no way whatsoever contradicts true science. People like Kent Hovind who use psuedoscience and psuedohermeneutics are not helping the kingdom of God but rather hindering it.

Keep on keepin on for the glory of His kingdom.

  • The problem is not those who doubt Evolution "ignoring the evidence". The problem is that only one side is allowed to speak. If any scientist speaks out against Evolution, especially based on the evidence, they are immediately demonized in academia. The Darwinists have their witch hunt and don't want any scientists questioning their deeply-help religious belief in Darwinian Evolution. The global flood is true and so is design, Evolution denies both.

  • @GreenSlugg 1) Scientists with ID sympathies are not "persecuted" in any sense of the word. For example, Michael Behe still retains his job at Lehigh university despite being a proponent of ID.

    2) Evolution doesn't deny a global flood. Geology does.

  • Evolution would say death and struggle led to mans existence. The Bible says mans rebellion led to death. To read an excellent online book on the matter, please see "The Lie : Evolution" by Ken Ham at answers in genesis dot org.

  • @blackshadowsnoopy First off he is a Young Earth Creationist. That theory is so extremely flawed. And your argument that Evolution and the Bible contradicts each other is also flawed. First off, the Bible is not talking about a physical Death which you are preassuming and because of that you can't even compare it to Evolution. And also, define struggle in Evolution? Natural selection isn't a "struggle" and especially if God used it. Why would God be limited in time?

  • @thetraceur123 The book of Genesis gives the account of the origin of the spiritual and physical death of man. When Adam and Eve rebelled against God, eating of the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, at this point they died spiritually and the process of decay began in mans body. Man was cast from the Garden lest he eat of the Tree of Life and live forever. Before the Flood, people still lived about a thousand years because they didn't have the genetic deficiencies of today.

  • @blackshadowsnoopy You've got to be joking. I'm a christian. And I think Ken Ham is the biggest joke alive. He's been refuted countless times on all fronts.

  • @Drgamedood No he hasn't.

  • @GreenSlugg Yes he has. By both Christians and Non-Christians. And by biologists, paleontologists, chemists, and other scientists. Y'know, the people actually qualified to speak about evolution. ;-)

  • Have accepted and in no way contradicts my beliefs . :)

  • @foucachon Honestly, I would have to tend to agree. Evolution is really devastating to tradiational religious belief, and makes so much of the Bible untenable.

  • I don't feel that there is any conflict between my christanity and my acceptance of evolution. I live in England where there aren't really any creationists and our church accepted evolution way back in the 19th century.

  • @STEPHENWRAYSFORD33 evolution and Christianity are contradictory. You can't believe both just like you can't believe the earth is flat AND round at the same time. You have a major problem. Choose.

  • @foucachon No they are not. Literal reading of the bible and evolution are contradictory, but it isn't contradictory on any other level than this. You can read deeper into the stories of genesis than just on the exact words used. People like you, who demand a choice between science and religion, stunt humanities growth, both mentally and spiritually.

  • @STEPHENWRAYSFORD33 Haha wish it were so in America too. xD Even though I don't live there ( I live in Sweden. ) they are almost the only ones rejecting Evolution.

  • Are you saying that Christians should be "open to Evolution" as "truth"?

  • @foucachon Well as evolution is true, and basis for all modern science in the field of biology, you should, perhaps take the hint...

  • @fmanh "...as evolution is true." Wow, you just completely dropped the Scientific Method... Evolution is a Theory, not "truth" or "true". No true scientist says otherwise. Only religious fanatics like Sam Harris would say otherwise.

  • @foucachon No. I didn't. Current theory of evolution account for the evidence and facts found in the field of genetics, palaeontology, human/animal behaviour and biology in general. It is 'true' in that sense. There can, and probably always will be, disputes in details (such as a particular migration path for a certain species), that is what is driving the process forward, and that is sound scientific principle. But the foundations are *very* stable and well founded.

  • Well put. Like a teacher of mine used to say about scientific progress, "You're either part of the steamroller or part of the road."
