But anti-Chinese persecution has not persisted to this day unlike anti-Semitism in France.

And, most importantly, we all know (now) that it's wrong to put people in camps or schools to try to erase their culture. But in France, racism still a major issue (more major than racism in the US or Canada).

There are no "indigenous" people in France, except possibly the Basque who are have a language that is not indo-european in origin. I think what you are trying to get at is what Napoleon enforced during his reign in the early 1800's when, under the Napoleonic code he standardized French from 38 regional dialects to one standard language. The people or Brittany are experiencing a resurgence in their language, but it's by no means persecuted.

Debt is not a solid indicator of an economy's strength. But the US has the highest GDP per capita of almost any non-citystate.

If you think that relative growth and debt are the only things that matter (and ignore current size, sustainability, or the like), then yes, China has a better economy. So does Nigeria, Cuba, Mongolia, Libya, Mexico, and Bangladesh.

The fact is that if you measure the effectiveness of a school system by number of languages learned or knowledge of geography, it's biased against Americans. We know the states, which is just as difficult as learning the countries of Europe and far more useful if you're an American. Same goes for language, Europeans have a real reason to learn many foreign languages, here in America you are unlikely to come across an area where no one speaks English. The standards aren't fair.
