I remember quite well the 1985 flood. It ravaged all the towns on the South Branch of the Potomac and then worked its way down through Paw Paw, Hancock, Harpers Ferry, Point of Rocks etc. I was around in 1972 when Agnes hit and remember standing on Chain Bridge looking at the swollen Potomac and the ripped apart C&O Canal. It was a mess.

Cool. I was in 2nd grade, living in Front ROyal when this flood happened. I remember writing about it in my class journal.
