my problem with terence mckenna is very simple: children are listening to his teachings and finding encouragement to use drugs. 13, 14, 15, 16, maybe younger than this. few adults are going to take up hallucenogenics because of his work. mostly only young people who, if they pass through their teenage years without drugs will probably stay drugfree throughout their lives. i know about the destruction of drugs real well, and yes, it includes your precious mushrooms, dmt, pot, all of it.

i clicked on the link to this video with an assurance of the words that would be shared from Terence would be valuable, and indeed they are. My problem is the speed of the dialogue as well as the music. I don't know about you guys, but trippy drone music does not enhance the experiencing of digesting the words i'm hearing. If anything, it is distracting and cheesy and often far too loud. Just listen to the words because thats where the real music is. Nevertheless, thanks for the post.

He was ultimately interested in nailing down the question of why certain hallucinogens that should have produced thoroughly subjective experiences actually seemed to point to the existence of some sort of other realm wherein the same reality was being experienced by multiple subjects. you dont become a junky on psychedelics considering they are not physically addictive. Peope go after drugs which stimulate or sedate them to cover up their unhappiness. The last thing a junky would want to do is take a psychedelic. Certain ones have even proven to break peoples addictive habits or solve mental obsticles. He has definitely done LSD, but in some talks he says that he wasn't ever keen on trying relatively new synthetic drugs, no matter how many people were doing them. He believed there needed to be more in depth research into the long-term effects of mdma.
But I mean, its still likely that he tried it at some stage, but he certainly didn't make it known in any of his talks.
it should be noted that many millions have experimented many times with these same substances, with little correlation of this tumor with psychedelics.

Brain tumors occur in so many people these days, it would be near impossible to tell.

Thanks for sharing. I want to try DMT but I'm afriad of losing myself to the trip. My fear is that I may lose my mind while tripping and once when I return I'd be brain dead/shocked. The other fear is that the trip would be so overwhelming that my heart might stop beating and I'll end up dying while I'm out there, and never return back to life. DMT is natural, but it isn't like LSA or LSD. Your body produces it. You trip on REM sleep on it. It's when your dreams become more psychedelic. I compare it to a heavy concentration of Salvia not because of what you see, but of the outcome. There aren't side effects, if anything, it's like remembering a short term memory, that girl that you passed by that looked forgetable, and then police ask you for specifics about her. Terence thought that the brain worked a bit like a radio or tv, and taking substances like DMT changes your channel slightly. Allowing you to perceive other realities/dimensions. During the experience however, the world as you see it now is completely replaced, you feel as if you are "somewhere else".

I would also make the radio comparison and say that a model of a different space-time (probably hyperdimensional) is transmitted into your mind, and then the format changes into an electrochemical one. DMT entities may very well be autonomous, but they are working within parameters determined by physical laws.

Hebrew and greek can not be translated into english without losing meaning. It is difficult to understand why so many scholars decide how to interpret the text. It is unreliable to read the text in english. For instance, look at the pentacostals they believe in tongues and healing with their hands and that is not what the text says. i clicked on the link to this video with an assurance of the words that would be shared from Terence would be valuable, and indeed they are. My problem is the speed of the dialogue as well as the music. I don't know about you guys, but trippy drone music does not enhance the experiencing of digesting the words i'm hearing. If anything, it is distracting and cheesy and often far too loud. Just listen to the words because thats where the real music is. Nevertheless, thanks for the post.

He was ultimately interested in nailing down the question of why certain hallucinogens that should have produced thoroughly subjective experiences actually seemed to point to the existence of some sort of other realm wherein the same reality was being experienced by multiple subjects. He has definitely done LSD, but in some talks he says that he wasn't ever keen on trying relatively new synthetic drugs, no matter how many people were doing them. He believed there needed to be more in depth research into the long-term effects of mdma.
But I mean, its still likely that he tried it at some stage, but he certainly didn't make it known in any of his talks.

Thanks for sharing. I want to try DMT but I'm afriad of losing myself to the trip. My fear is that I may lose my mind while tripping and once when I return I'd be brain dead/shocked. The other fear is that the trip would be so overwhelming that my heart might stop beating and I'll end up dying while I'm out there, and never return back to life. DMT is natural, but it isn't like LSA or LSD. Your body produces it. You trip on REM sleep on it. It's when your dreams become more psychedelic. I compare it to a heavy concentration of Salvia not because of what you see, but of the outcome. There aren't side effects, if anything, it's like remembering a short term memory, that girl that you passed by that looked forgetable, and then police ask you for specifics about her. It's forgetable, but unforgetable. It's water in spread fingers.

Terence thought that the brain worked a bit like a radio or tv, and taking substances like DMT changes your channel slightly. Allowing you to perceive other realities/dimensions. During the experience however, the world as you see it now is completely replaced, you feel as if you are "somewhere else".

I would also make the radio comparison and say that a model of a different space-time (probably hyperdimensional) is transmitted into your mind, and then the format changes into an electrochemical one. It was thought for many years that Moses could never have written the 1st 5 books due to ko written language being known to exist in 1500bc. Flinders Petrie along with most of the archeaologists of the time discovered in a cave in the sinia mountains the 1st letters of any language dated to the time of Moses. It is unreliable to read the text in english. For instance, look at the pentacostals they believe in tongues and healing with their hands and that is not what the text says. i think your right here in 1 way TRUTH can be found by living life that is the best way if you ask me, all i challenge is for you to skim thru all these sacred text including the Bible if you dont think the Bible is truth my friend im not gonna try to convince you one fact is if someone dosent wanna change or learn then they wont, but you really seem like you dont want argument you wanna get to the bottom of things and thats what i think you should do study study and u can messege me anytime.

OK WAIT EVOLUTION is in NO WAY FACT, adaptation is fact, natural selection is fact and both of these things are fine and dandy with the Bible but Macro Evolution is the biggest crock ive ever heard, now to back this up and not have to have a billion debates i only say to anyone reading this go look up Kent Hovind on Google and give his videos a full watching and also go watch Ben Steins Expelled no intelligence allowed.

Ya your soul is eternal but there is no such thing as hell. the bible isnt accurate. its been manipulated for power control. there is no source of evil just a disconnection from grace. plus christianity was takin from ancient egypt so thats where to get the real truth

i dont know if jesus existed. but as i was saying if you look at ancient egypt you can see where christianity came from. For example, the egyption god Horus that predated jesus by thousands of years. His life story goes like this......Born of a virgin, began his teachings at the age 30. walked on water, healed the sick, water to wine and died and rose three days later.definitly some similarities. and he's not the only other, that story has been told many many times its an astrological story

yea i know of all that but Jesus said many will come claiming to be him, and the Bible talks about imposter's of prophets, do you know if horus did every single prophecy said about he Messiah like Jesus did... cause if he did then... we have a problem, but im pretty sure he wasnt born where he should have been i bet he didnt do half the stuff Jesus did.

wouldn't it be valid to then read a newer text in which the author had access to the divine so that you do not risk the inevitable errosion of truth by the meens of history and men with agenda's...all i'm saying is maby god wrote the bible through his prohpets but the original message is not always the same, people have tinkered with it. people who do not know the god you speak of

well ya id have to agree taking any drug is pretty much to change your perspective in one way or another but, they dont change your heart, and thats whats important.
I can realize all kinds of wonders but it wont change me... only Jesus will change your heart do you at least get my point?
and im glad God gave things to open the minds of people i know weed made me realize lots of things about life and thats not really even a biggie, i think man made drugs are for fools tho.

i say to each his own... if DMT experiences help you make something more relevant or tangible, or give you satisfying realization... then by all means do it... if going to church, reading a man-written book, and praying to "god" gives you satisfaction or similar fulfillment then do that... I used to believe in god... but my opinion of this being has changed. more of a collective unconsciousness we all are tied to but have only limited access to. except in psychedelic induced states & meditation

BUT i agree we are all one either in satan or Jesus. our spirits are one in either or.

325AD is when The Bible was altered by a roman pagan and he made it able to translate some of the words in The Bible to cater to their needs so the Original Bible which was in Hebrew means different things to which the English translated Bible means... Hard to kind of explain do some research and become enlightened to some real truth...

yeatoast222, well then i guess he must have some how altered the dead sea scrolls too, and which part was altered i see no parts that read to be pagan, if it was pagan wouldnt it embrace paganism? sorry but ur not makin much sense. the bible only embraces good. and even the harsh parts have good intentions if you know the bible, you'll realize that. it makes perfect sense, and isnt pagan at all.

i agree with you on many points, but since you beleive the phophets wrote the bible while chanelling God isn't it equally valid to believe that every man, woman, and child has access to this God and might chanel it eqaully well. There are many beautiful works of literature in which one can sense divine presents. sometimes inspiration links the human mind to the collective unconscience

i beleave God spoke to the prphts in old testamnt and n new the Holy Spirit guided there words and hrts. But they wsnt chanelin God in old testamnt, you cant summon him when ya want, God chose these pple and there are only very few compared to the whle wrld, but i do bleave in prayer, we can speak to The Lord and he intervenes in many strange ways, but it dnt mean God will speak to you if God did that we wuldnt need faith and bleaf we would know because he'd be talkin to peple all the time.

your choice of words, inconsistent misspelling and paragraph long sentences make you incredibly hard to follow. plus your just rambling on about something that doesnt make any sense to anyone that reads it. saying god "chooses" other people over others why? what makes them more special then anyone of us? arent we all children of god in one big happy family? or does god have favorites as well?

First the reason i left out letters is because we have character counts on here and i think thats exactly 500 characters, and idk if God has favorites but i do know not all of us will let God use them to better humanity, God takes opportunitys and uses them in amazing ways, only some of us are gonna be so lucky.
