as great as this mod was, it is dead now. the source engine version has a bit of life left in it still, but not much... you can still sometimes find people playing on a server from time to time.

The 2k4 version had some cool stuff.

I actually like the weapon designs for the 2k4 version better. They seemed more innovative.

If you own either game, you can run the new Neotokyo release for Source Engine. Check if you can install the Source SDK Base under the tools tab.

it can run off SDK base if you have it in your tools, with the SDK downloaded you can play anything i do believe,

Neither, the new one runs off the SOURCE engine. Which is what half life deathmatch uses.

Oh God the nostalgia. I played this more then I did UT 2004 eventually, and I've been following Source since the beginning. Even joined a clan for a while whos name I can't remember. Waiting all these years has driven me insane. Oh, well having the album eases the pain.

Heh! This is quite a gem. As far as I know, this was the last proper game ever had in UT2k4. I had so much fun, makes me want to play again!

NT:UT2K4 was a prototype version of the mod developed before the release of HL2.

Priest was way overpowered in this game, plus I hated how you lost points for dying--made it so frustrating when trying to acquire and experiment with new weapons.

Except for the Tachi and Jitte, all of the weapons in NTS are new ones not found in NTUT.

And I'm pretty sure everyone hated the scoring system in NTUT, even eventually the guy who coded it. In NTS you will not be penalized for dying.

Man, you have no idea how STOKED I am that this mod was still being developed this whole time and is FINALLY coming out on Source! Ever since playing the UE2 mod more than three years ago, when there were barely enough people playing to keep a 2v2 going (me, jERRy, and maybe 2-3 other peeps), I had kept hearing about the Source mod and wondering, "Man, when is this thing coming out already?!" I had almost given up hope that it would be finished. Glad I was wrong!

my only complaint is that the guns looks too much like guns from present and the past than future istic at least some do like the gun at 1:00 looks almost exactly like the fg42. its just awkward
