  • Best band EVER!

  • @Sydney69666 I agree

  • youtube/uYMP1-ZkoM4 "here is a demo of "With A Tear" recorded and chopped as well by Steve Perry and then polished up minus vocals by Neil & Jonathan for the Time 3 box set.. Notice how Steve scatted out the song during the creative process.

  • Yea it might have made it to the Raised on Radio Album but Steve perry was given 100 percent control of everything and chopped it from the final 10 to make it on the album...

  • Super song from journey

  • cooooooooooooooooooollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

  • its really nice! i love journey so much! i hope that Perry will come back to the band! coz Perry is the heartbeat of journey!

  • This lick with words from Perry would've made this SONG a big one for Raised on Radio. I like to run to it.

  • AWESOMENESS

  • As great as this piece is as an instrumental, can you imagine how awesome this song would be with Perry's soaring vocals on top of it? Wow.

  • Why they don't have more instrumental songs??

  • @solelover70 Well when you have Steve Perry why do an instrumental????????

  • @kpowers Steve Perry's Mom was very ill and Perry needed to be helicoptered away to be by her side before she passed...it slowed recording and production time way down and cost alot of money for the band...Neil Schon & Jonathan Cain found this gem in the vaults and polished it up a bit. and released it for us to enjoy.

  • @W103WWRW Yeah I remember hearing about Steve's momm being sick didn't know it was around this time. Anybody know what album this song might have ended up on if Steve did sang vocals??? Raised on Radio maybe??? Oh well, thanks solelover 70

  • lol haha your a funny guy

  • whose the dumbass who doesnt like this song....

  • This song rocks. Journey is the definition of Awesome. So frickin Awesome!!!

  • My kind of stuff electric edgy riffs.

  • This track confirms that Neil Schon is an extremely underrated guitarist!

  • very good

  • I really wish I could have been older when this time period of music was going on. It just seemed like times were better then they are now. I saw them in concert once in San Diego, back in the eighties, but I was really young and don't remember much of it. My mother took me, and years later, I still listen to these guys. Inspiring music to help you through rough times.

  • this song is AMAZING!

  • Without pulling this disc out of my collection and reading it, it was Larrie London on drums & Randy Jackson on bass!

  • i thought stve smith was still there but no johnathan cane or oss valory

  • One of the best Journey songs everet first came out , takes me back to the early 90's!

  • AWESOME Just Awesome....

  • this song reminds me when i first bought the time 3 boxset in 2006,it brings me back to a place in my head .a full moon in the foothills on a journey to find a friend

  • Just great. All there is to it.

  • this tune sounds like it should have been used on sega's outrun!

  • who plays the drums on this instrumental, was it Steve Smith ?

  • Could be Larrie London. I think this tune was recorded around "Raised On Radio".

  • No, its an instrumental, I would love to learn this on guitar... but there's no tabs for it on the internet.. guess I'll have to ask my teacher.

  • like to know if there any words for this song

  • I reckon with lyrics this could have been a Journey classic

  • freaking awasome
