Saw Meryl Steep on Inside the Actor's Studio. She mentions acting as giving a voice to a character or soul that otherwise has no voice. What Shirley Maclaine says in brilliant about the mystery of acting and Meryl Streep goes beyond the norm when giving a voice to a character. It is almost as if she channels a soul. I love all these tributes to her and can't imagine what it must be like to have her for a mom! Her family is beautiful like her.

No :-) I think she means "if you don't get any older, I won't either". In a way it relates to what Tracey Ullman said about female artists in Hollywood being kind of discriminated against after a certain age.
