I thought it meant, don't do magic tricks with animals. Kind of like, Circuses shouldn't use wild animals anymore. Thats how I took it. I felt bad for him though, I never laughed.

Strange, I don't remember seeing this. I watched Seseme street from the time I was small till my younger sister was about 8 or so, that covers a span of about 15 years. (Did not let my classmates know I watched Seseme street as a young teen, I almost died when my mom called me over when I was talking to the guy I liked and said, "It's time for Seseme Street!"

I didn't understand the story when I was little, I just laughed because he kept on getting hurt in the cartoon. But the message is so cool!

When I first saw this cartoon when I was about 3 or 4, I didn't understand why he got hurt by the bees until a few weeks later when my older sister got stung by one.
