so you don't think Mumia deserved to have a fair trail, where all the evidence was presented? Instead of the jury just knowing about the evidence that the DA wanted to share with the defense?
'Journalists for Mumia' argues that the FOP-led campaign to execute Mumia without a fair trial, is appealing to the white racist lynch mob mentality in Philly and around the US.
The above quote is just the latest expression of this.
@journalists4mumia Just because somebody uses the word "lynch" does not make them a racist . Have you never seen a cowboy movie? derrrr lynching is an oldwest thing to most people nowadays. Mumia needs the CHAIR! ZaaaaaaP!
These cops dont want the truth. If they did they would have done an investigation better than a kindergartner. Why would you threaten witnesses so much to say something if you wanted the right guy.Everything from the shell casings on down is full of holes and beyond any reasonable doubt. to give someone a death sentence and life confinement. Then they basically got the fuckin Fraternal order of the one man fat fuck as the judge and his underlings as the jury. And he cant even get a retrial ??
This conspiracy theorist BS has been put to bed a thousand times over. The piece of trash was caught with the literally smoking gun. Waste him, he has zero redeeming qualities. RIP Daniel Faulkner.
supposedly police didn't test Mumia's gun (smell test) or Mumia's hand to see if he had recently fired a gun (wipe test), but Amnesty Intl doesn't believe this, and concluded that most likely they performed the tests but did not like the results.
At the DA's very best, The bullet recovered from Faulkner could only be tied to "multiples of millions" of guns including those NOT made by Charter Arms (the brand of Mumia's gun)...
Fair-minded readers should note the exchange below with "AHEAD". You can present numerous facts of an unfair trial, but it doesn't matter to the FRY MUMIA lynch mob. Back in the days of public lynchings of black men, they said they were protecting white women, and factual evidence didn't matter then either...
Called a "cop killer," they hate Mumia and just want him dead---that's what this is all about. They don't really care about Faulkner or his family, otherwise they'd want a fair trial.
Exuse me, first of all do not attempt to shed light onto me as how to honor the Faulkner family. You got that? You should not even be mentioning that proud name. Secondly, he received his fair trial 26 years ago and was found guilty by a jury of his peers!! Case closed. His day is coming, oh yes!
What I'm saying is true. The trial was absolutely unfair---no doubt about it. Further, railroading Mumia and separating him from his family is not justice and should be vehemently opposed by everyone. Unfortunately the racist FRY MUMIA lynch mob just wants blood, and Mumia is their convenient scapegoat.
As Cornel West said at Mumia's 95 PCRA hearings, "It's Mississippi 1955!"
was it fair for Sabo to block Veronica Jones' testimony about why her 82 testimony differed from her original police statement saying that she saw someone run away from the scene? She started saying police pressured her and that they referred to a deal made with star witness Cynthia White----but Sabo actually blocked this testimony and told the jury to disregard what they'd heard... What could be more unfair than that?
Veronica Jones was "high" and "intoxicated" when giving her statement that night so yes it was fair to block her testimony. Just stop with your "some other dude" theory. I do no need to debate with you. You post your feelings here, and so will I. I will fight alongside Maureen Faulkner forever to make sure his ass stays exactly where it is!
Do your homework better before coming off so strong... Jones didn't give her statement to police until one week later, and it is a dramatic difference from her 82 testimony. Any fair minded person knows it fair to ask her on the stand why she changed her mind!
Also, no other witness saw Cynthia White, and only Cynthia White claims to have seen Robert Chobert.... White and Chobert also changed their testimony to conform to the DA story.
She was intoxicated and high the night P/O Daniel Faulkner was murdered by mumia. It matters nothing when she gave her damn testimony. She was proven a fraud by Arlene Fisk and it was a ridiculous tactic used by mummia's defense to stall this case.
Does it bother you that DA witnesses Chobert, White, and Scanlan were also under the influence? Or that Chobert's taxi is not in the photo where he said it was?
Or that both Chobert and White significantly alteredc their testimony to conform better to the DA scenario....
Sounds like a frame-up to me and many others, including Amnesty International, conservative lawyer Stuart Taylor, the NAACP, and Congressional Black Caucus, European Parliament, and Japanese Diet, who all call for a new trial.
also, Philip Block is a joke, and is just one of the more recent fabricated "confession" stories... Bloch was totally debunked by FAIR and Linn Washington---go to Abu-Jamal-News(dot)com to read more about him.
I didnt avoid a single thing. The facts are in the transcipts of the 1982 trial. I dont need to read anything else but that as a citizen of the United States of America. He was proven guilty by a jury of his peers...period! Instead of being a conspiracy theorist coming up with bogus theories for the past 26 years that ever NEVER succeeded in the Court of Philadelphia and higher!
Didn't avoid a single thing? Ha! The dialogue speaks for itself, as you repeatedly dodged my questions and arguments exposing the frame-up.... Your bogus "read the transcripts" rhetoric has been clearly exposed, because everything I cited was directly from the transcripts.... Like I've said before----the facts don't matter to you because you just want to kill Mumia, a former Panther, a MOVE supporter and outspoken Black man. These things are his true crime!
Sorry, V.Jones never said that she saw anyone "run away" what she said in her original statement was two men walked then sort of jogged across Locust St. She was then asked how close they got to the fallen officer, she replied "Not Close enough. Maybe two or three steps away" But the truth is V.J. was high when she was on Locust and also when she gave the first statement. She was an alcoholic and her testimony was not very credible. She never helped the prosecution or the defense in the trial.
Well, I would certainly disagree about the significance of Jone's story, particularly how her testimony was blocked in '82, and was then extremely intimidated once again at the Sabo PCRA hearings in '96. This shows the overhanded attempts to silence an account that pointed both to another shooter, and police coercion.
Yes, Jones literally said she saw 2 men "jogging away". I think these two were Ken Freeman and Billy Cook, because in Cook's affidavit he says her started to run but came back.
Sorry, read N.T. 6-26-82 112 - 113 she never said they "jogged away". She never claimed to have seen who did the shooting at any time. The "joggers" were seen "about a minute" after the shooting. We know from all of the PD radio traffic that the first police had arrived within a minute of the shooting. D. Kordanski also someone "run" but it was several minutes after the shooting. Cook's affidavit is a bunch of crap, "looking in the back seat never saw anything". He could not hold up to a exam.
Forbes testified that he preserved the evidence no matter how he did, like journalists claimed Forbes said that he touched no metal parts yet he's touching the metal parts, Maureen Faulkner is lying when she says that she doesn't see the hand touching the metal parts/trigger/whatever because that particular part is ZOOMED IN! I mean for real Mumia's innocent and deserves a new trial and if these photos don't prove it to some of you anti-Mumia people, i personally don't know what will.
Let's assume that Forbes wiped off all prints, does this mean that someone else took MAJ's pistol from his shoulder holster fired all 5 shots then also killed Officer Faulkner? How do you square this with the Beverly confession? It seems to me that persons that tend to blame the police can find a conspiracy that goes very deep to include the FBI, New Jersey police along with the entire Phil. PD.
See you claimed "Let's assume", the other factor is that Mumia received one heck of a beating, so the gun's bound to fall off, to square it with Arnold Beverly's confession is that Beverly claimed to shoot Faulkner in the face with a 44 calibur, due to the fact that Mumia has a lot of innocence factors, the other shooter to have such a weapon would be Kenneth Freeman, i think the conspiracy was that (i'm just guessing here) to be continued
re the gun, at best police could only tie the bullet in Faulkner to "multiples of millions" of guns, including guns NOT made by Charter Arms. The spent casings, and the story that Mumia went for his gun when other cops arrived is based on police testimony, and in the context of all the other manipulation of evidence and witnesses, I think the police have lost credibility.
Re Billy Cook, I think he was scared by police intimidation. He has said he will testify if Mumia gets a new, fair trial.
Re the gun, MAJ's Charter 38 was the only one on the scene. Can you in all honesty imagine W. Cook not testifying at the trial of his Brother if his testimony could have saved MAJ from the DP? MAJ went thru entire trial haranguing Judge Sabo to bring in John Africa, why would John Africa not be intimidated but his own Brother be intimidated, read the Affidavit of Cook and compare with the Affidavit of MAJ, mutually exclusive. Cook "didn't see anything". MAJ saw Cook staggering in the street.
Forbes testified that he held both guns in his left hand by the grips, thats what the pic shows. Chobert was at the PD before Pablo got to the scene check the sources and he drove himself in the taxi. The hat moved, so what? Amazing that the three witnesses that saw MAJ shoot the officer were "coerced" within 15 minutes of the shooting. Why was MAJ carrying his 38 spec. with all spent shells in the chambers? Why didn't his brother testify at court, he was at the scene and knew the facts>
1) While not specified in the video, but written at our site Abu-Jamal-News(dot)com, Forbes said he didn't touch the metal parts, but the photos show him doing just this. Further, even Maureen Faulkner admitted that he contaminated the ballistics evidence...
2) We have checked the sources and there is NOTHING about Chobert moving his taxi.
3) Witness testimony change considerably over time to conform to the prosecution sceanario, as Amnesty Intl documented.
1. Not to just argue, but again Forbes said at trial that he held the guns by the grips.
2. Chobert was first interviewed at 4:15 AM on 12-9-81 at the PD. Pablo arrived at the earliest 4:10 AM and then spent 30 - 45 minutes taking the 31 pictures. Why would it be unusual for the taxi to be missing, it is obvious from the placement of the police barriers that something has been moved from behind the patrol car.
3. 38 pistol with 5 spent shells and the fact that MAJ's brother would not testify?
Forbes also said he didn't touch the metal parts, and German author Schiffmann asserts that on several of the photos he is seen touching the metal parts. However, just holding them on the grips like that also hampers the ballistics, as Maureen Faulkner conceded on NPR.
There is nothing in the record about Chobert moving his car--only about police telling him to leave it in place. If it was moved before police photos, that would clearly be tampering with evidence, right?
The wheels of justice better stop to hear the truth. Great job on this piece. Keep questioning inconsistent evidence. The truth must stare down the purported facts presented by police.
It is an undeniable fact that police are trained to do everything possible to maintain the integrity of ballistics evidence--which was NOT done by police at Mumia's crime scene.
