supposedly police didn't test Mumia's gun (smell test) or Mumia's hand to see if he had recently fired a gun (wipe test), but Amnesty Intl doesn't believe this, and concluded that most likely they performed the tests but did not like the results.

At the DA's very best, The bullet recovered from Faulkner could only be tied to "multiples of millions" of guns including those NOT made by Charter Arms (the brand of Mumia's gun)...

was it fair for Sabo to block Veronica Jones' testimony about why her 82 testimony differed from her original police statement saying that she saw someone run away from the scene? She started saying police pressured her and that they referred to a deal made with star witness Cynthia White----but Sabo actually blocked this testimony and told the jury to disregard what they'd heard... What could be more unfair than that?

Do your homework better before coming off so strong... Jones didn't give her statement to police until one week later, and it is a dramatic difference from her 82 testimony. Any fair minded person knows it fair to ask her on the stand why she changed her mind!

Also, no other witness saw Cynthia White, and only Cynthia White claims to have seen Robert Chobert.... White and Chobert also changed their testimony to conform to the DA story.

Sorry, V.Jones never said that she saw anyone "run away" what she said in her original statement was two men walked then sort of jogged across Locust St. She was then asked how close they got to the fallen officer, she replied "Not Close enough. Maybe two or three steps away" But the truth is V.J. was high when she was on Locust and also when she gave the first statement. She was an alcoholic and her testimony was not very credible. She never helped the prosecution or the defense in the trial.

Well, I would certainly disagree about the significance of Jone's story, particularly how her testimony was blocked in '82, and was then extremely intimidated once again at the Sabo PCRA hearings in '96. This shows the overhanded attempts to silence an account that pointed both to another shooter, and police coercion.

Yes, Jones literally said she saw 2 men "jogging away". I think these two were Ken Freeman and Billy Cook, because in Cook's affidavit he says her started to run but came back.

Sorry, read N.T. 6-26-82 112 - 113 she never said they "jogged away". She never claimed to have seen who did the shooting at any time. The "joggers" were seen "about a minute" after the shooting. We know from all of the PD radio traffic that the first police had arrived within a minute of the shooting. D. Kordanski also someone "run" but it was several minutes after the shooting. Cook's affidavit is a bunch of crap, "looking in the back seat never saw anything". He could not hold up to a exam.

Let's assume that Forbes wiped off all prints, does this mean that someone else took MAJ's pistol from his shoulder holster fired all 5 shots then also killed Officer Faulkner? re the gun, at best police could only tie the bullet in Faulkner to "multiples of millions" of guns, including guns NOT made by Charter Arms. The spent casings, and the story that Mumia went for his gun when other cops arrived is based on police testimony, and in the context of all the other manipulation of evidence and witnesses, I think the police have lost credibility.

Re Billy Cook, I think he was scared by police intimidation. He has said he will testify if Mumia gets a new, fair trial.

Re the gun, MAJ's Charter 38 was the only one on the scene. Can you in all honesty imagine W. Cook not testifying at the trial of his Brother if his testimony could have saved MAJ from the DP? MAJ went thru entire trial haranguing Judge Sabo to bring in John Africa, why would John Africa not be intimidated but his own Brother be intimidated, read the Affidavit of Cook and compare with the Affidavit of MAJ, mutually exclusive. Cook "didn't see anything". MAJ saw Cook staggering in the street.

Chobert was at the PD before Pablo got to the scene check the sources and he drove himself in the taxi. The hat moved, so what? Amazing that the three witnesses that saw MAJ shoot the officer were "coerced" within 15 minutes of the shooting. Why was MAJ carrying his 38 spec. with all spent shells in the chambers? Why didn't his brother testify at court, he was at the scene and knew the facts>

2. Chobert was first interviewed at 4:15 AM on 12-9-81 at the PD. Pablo arrived at the earliest 4:10 AM and then spent 30 - 45 minutes taking the 31 pictures. Why would it be unusual for the taxi to be missing, it is obvious from the placement of the police barriers that something has been moved from behind the patrol car.

There is nothing in the record about Chobert moving his car--only about police telling him to leave it in place. If it was moved before police photos, that would clearly be tampering with evidence, right?
